I loved Mario Party 5 because you could play as Koopa Kid. He was my favorite character to play as. I also loved Mario Party 4 as that was my first Mario Party game and it’s the one that got me into the series. I think Mario Party 4 had some of the best mini games. I loved “Domination.” It only consisted of button mashing, but I was really good at it.

What Mario Party game was your favorite and why?

My favourite is Marty Party 7! I like the minigames a lot and the stages you can do. My favourite being Pagoda Peak!

I have to say Mario Party 3, for the sole fact that Eatsa Pizza is my favorite mini game. It is also the mini game I would most like to play in real life.

I actually haven't had a chance to play many of them tbh, but my favorite one will always be the OG on the N64. I spent a lot of time playing that game as a kid, and now I have a lot of nostalgia for it. I used to play with a friend a lot, I would be Wario and she would be Luigi and the CPU would be Mario and Peach (we particularly disliked Peach lol) and we would always play for a full 50 turns which could easily take around 2-4 hours. it was a wild ride and I loved it.

I also really like MP8, it has a lot of fun minigames and boards (my favorite is Shy Guy's Perplex Express) and I really like the different things you can do like playing minigames solo, collecting figurines, doing taunts with the Wiimote, doing the hot air balloon challenge, etc. I especially loved being able to taunt ppl cause hearing Waluigi say WEEHHHHHHH constantly is very charming to say the least.

I have two favourites, Mario Party 3 and Mario Party 7. I think Mario Party 3 is a classic, playing it just feels cozy to me. It has a decent selection of mini games and items to keep things interesting. Mario Party 7 is also just a really good instalment in the series I think. It had a lot of interesting game modes available to play and good mini games (including mini games that used a microphone which was really interesting). I am sad that you can't play as Donkey Kong in 7 though, DK is my favourite character to play as.

I haven't played a Mario Party game since the GameCube Mario Party games, aside from playing Super Mario Party while visiting a friend two years ago. As such, I haven't played enough Super Mario Party to form a real definitive opinion, though I'm considering maybe getting a copy for myself in the future. Maybe it'll shake up the rankings, who knows.

My favorite Mario Party would probably be Mario Party 2 though. The boards are the most memorable in the series for me, especially Horror Land and Space Land. It featured minigames that stick in my mind to this day like Bumper Balls, Hexagon Heat, Honeycomb Havoc, Hot Rope Jump and more. It's definitely the one I revisit most often.

Mario Party 4 is runner-up.

mario party 6, probably — although 4 is a close second. i have the most (and the best) memories of 6 & i liked the minigames a lot + how they played differently depending on the time of day

I've literally only played Mario Party 8 and Super Mario Party, but I have some GREAT memories of me and some friends playing 8 at my house when I was like 9, so that would have to be my favorite no doubt. Not only that but I'm not a fan of some of the minigames in super mario party tbh

My favorite Mario Party was 1, though I loved the first four. I loved the boards and the mini games were so much fun; I got so many blisters from playing them 😂. Unfortunately my sister sold all of them and most of my gamecube games :/ back in high school for a system she ended up rarely using.

Basically any of the GCN ones, I do have a soft spot for 6, and 5 is pretty neat too. Never that much of a Wii/U/Switch ones fan.

Mario Party 6.. let's be honest, the microphone is awful but was so unique back then. I could never seel this game <3

I also really like Mario Party 1, I have a lot of memories of it, because it was one of the only games that my childhood friends would be playing. Granted, I usually won every mini game, because I was the only "gamer" in my friendsgroup, but hey.. it was still tons of fun :p

However, the mini game where you have to wind up a helicopter or whatever it was, man I got the biggest and most painful bubbles on the inside of my hands from it. Worth it though :^)

Mario Party 6 is my favorite because I feel like it had the most variety. I've played 3 and 5-8. I didn't like 7 and 8 that much because I think the goals for some of the boards were too gimmicky and I don't like the linear boards because you have almost no control and repeatedly getting low rolls on those just kills you. I didn't even try 9 because of the disappointment 8 was for me and the car concept just sounded dumb to me. I may get Super Mario Party because it looked interesting on the streams I watched for TBTWC.

I think Mario Party 6. I can't even remember specific mini games but I remember really enjoying it. Unfortunately my gamecube broke. Devastated.
I'm pretty disappointed with the switch version. I think the boards could be better and have more than four.

I'd absolutely love a new mario party, like an Ultimate Version which takes loads of mini games from previous versions including GC and game boards etc.

always and forever have loved 4, 5, and 8. Mario Party 4 and 5 I have played to death since I was a little kid, so lately i've been saying 8 is my top favorite because i'm burnt out of the other 2, i guess.. All of them have top-tier music, minigames, and maps. 5 and 8 also let you play as interesting characters, like koopa kid and blooper.
(also mc ballyhoo was the best maro party host, don't lie.)

i grew up with 8, so i'll have to go with that one

still remember when my younger brother got it for his birthday as a kid and we were scared of that talking hat
i used to play it with my cousins when they came over for the holidays those are some fun memories

although i don't particularly remember much about them right now, i remember really loving 4 & 5. there was one i liked more than the other but i couldn't tell you for the life of me which one it is now :' )

Playing with a full group of friends, I've had the most fun with Mario Party 6. The maps had the most rage-inducing dynamic features (the tree sneezing has robbed the star I was about to grab an embarrassing amount of times) and playing 2v2 was a nice way to mix things up. Decent mini-game, character, and map roster too. If I can play as Boo, I'm a happy camper.

In terms of mini-games and charm only, would have to go with 5's set (Coney Island being my favorite) or 3's (specially Messy Memory, Puzzle Party, Cheep Cheep Chase, Slap Down, Locked Out). The earlier games had the best duel/battle mini-games imo.

Mario Party 5 is my overall favourite out of all the games in the series, I loved the design of the boards (particularly Rainbow Dream and Underwater Dream) and found most of the mini games really fun to play, Fish Upon A Star is one of my all time favourites with Coney Island and Pushy Penguins also been top choices. There was also a good variety amongst the other types of mini games, the Bowser and DK ones were really enjoyable to play and the whole game always gave my siblings and I a good laugh and lots of happy memories.

Close runner-ups would be the original Mario Party for nostalgia reasons as it was one of the first games I ever played, plus it had some great mini games like Mushroom Mix-Up and Bumper Balls, and Mario Party 6 as it was another game that I thought had really interesting boards and I loved the day/night theme that was used within the game.
