feedback on a new art style?

hi guys im back. again ^^"

for those of you who dont know me, i ran a little freebie shop here for a few months. im gonna be honest, i kinda lost focus bc of the new acnl update and pokemon.... plus i bought a new n3ds xl so tht brought me back to playing my old games lol.

but in all truthfulness, i stopped because i started to feel discouraged. dunno why though. i guess i felt like i wasnt improving.. or i ddnt like how my art was developing, idk.

so i stopped and experimented for a few weeks and here's the outcome. i drew my favourite trial captain in pokemon SuMo, captain Ilima..

I like both, but I really liked how the old one had an anime artstyle. This one kind of reminds me of Yoshi's Island. I like the older one better, but that's just me.

ahah thank you ! making it look more like paint was also part of my goal as i thought my old art style looked like a gradient lol... XD
