Even if someone had him and could get him in boxes for you, he wouldn't move to your town, unfortunately. There's just no other way of getting him (being a special character like Wolf Link, Sanrio Characters, ect) normally. The only other option would be to hack if you can't get his amiibo card.

Actually, to get them in particular , you just gotta scan in a monster hunter amiibo (which could be easier , the sanrio are harder since they are the only ones who need actual cards ,as opposed to wolf link and the zelda characters who you can use a certain zelda amiibo for , and splatoon characters which need certain amiibo figures ) as opposed to a card .. kuriboh is right about not getting them otherwise however..

Oh, whoops you're right. Thanks for the correction. I wanted Felyne myself, but it didn't work for the same reasons.
