Finally got all the Amiibo figures :D - Can you scan them in HHD?

So I've had some of them sealed in the shipping box in my room for some time waiting for the others to arrive xD

But they finally turned up yesterday

Not sure if they can be scanned in HHD? Think I read somewhere that they act the same as the cards?
Either way, I doubt I'll be taking them out of the boxes anyway :L

I know if you scan in the villager you get like a trophy or something, I haven't heard about the rest, but I would guess they act as the cards would.

I think the Amiibos work. I heard somewhere that Lotties worked, so I'm guessing they all have the same 'Amiibo chip' in them

Yes, from what I've heard they will work the same as amiibo cards. This is why people were talking about having 'early access' to Cyrus if I remember correctly.

Yeah, they work the same as the cards. This is how you can get Cyrus, Sable, Celeste, and Blathers early, as none of them have any announced cards yet. I know Celeste and Blathers aren't out until next month, but seeing as how even Japan doesn't have an announcement for series 3 cards yet, they'll probably be out before any cards.
