I just beat the Prologue. My GOD, the cinematic in the beginning was the epitome of epicness. The game plays a lot faster than PoR, and the graphics are noticeably better. Battle animations vastly improved. Don't see what IGN was talking about when they said it had the same graphics as PoR. Same engine, yes, but not same graphics.

OK, here are some more competent impressions.

Beautiful opening cinematic. Game runs a lot faster than Path of Radiance. Graphics improved, don't know what IGN was thinking... I'm not even using 480p. Battle animations vastly improved, I didn't turn them off yet, I normally do after seeing them once. Everything feels a lot more streamlined and polished. Characters already feel real after the prologue. Fully-voice acted narration, but when the characters talk, there is no voice acting. Still great.

...If I were a big Fire Emblem fan I'd probably be exited about this...but I can't find FE games in stores ANYWHERE, so it doesn't look like I'll be getting into FE anytime soon, sadly. >.<

Start with the Wii one. It's nice to play the Gamecube one before since it's a direct prequel, but by NO means is it a necessity. You'll understand everything either way.

I have just finished Chapter 5... This game has had me teary-eyed over the last 20 minutes... I have never, in any literature, movies, or games, experienced such an ... indescribable feeling... almost of dread... the music, atmosphere, and characters all combine together, and you sympathize for them like for no other characters ever before...

You need to play this game. I urge all of you. This game has the best story in any videogame, ever. I do not make that statement lightly. The characters are just so... feeble... compared to the circumstances... it'll lead even the hardiest person to tears. I'm serious people.

Those people are freaking insane. This is the current best value on Wii. I've been playing for four hours, just finished Chapter 5.

There are 42 chapters.

I suggest stopping every hour or so and take a 5 minute break. Continuous playing can cause seizures, muscular dystrophy, and homosexuality. Also AIDS.
