If you get the island at night youll make 100k atleast every trip if you catch beetles and butterflys
Alex - Do it yourself. That's the whole point of the game. You have to work to earn bells to then repay your house loan and/or pay off your projects. You have to decide which is more important and which you want to repay yourself. Other players have their own priorities and things to pay for without going to another town and paying for someone else's stuff. The moral is .....Work Harder!! 
If you go after 7pm and only catch beetles on the trees planted in sand, you'll come back with a good 300-400k each trip in about 30 minutes. You'd have to cut down all center trees for that to work really well though. It has been well worth it for me.
Yeah though OP, you need to do this stuff yourself. We've all got things to pay on. If I see a project in somebody's town, sure I'm likely to donate or even finish it off if its been a great visit, but coming over simply to do somebody else's work isnt so appealing.
