Hello.
So iv understood that you need a certain amount of catches of animals for others to spawn. That be 100 fish or 20,60,80 sea creatures.

What im wondering about is if i who have way more catches then this on my island and visit a brand new island what happends?

1. Wil then my number of catches apply to this island to so i can get anything straight away?

2. Or do i need to wait until the owner of the land itself breaks those limits to spawn new fish and sea creatures?

3. Can i on this island help to get to those levels by fishing and catching?

good questions! theres only a couple of fish that i know of where you need to catch a certain amount of fish Before your target fish will show up. im pretty sure that when you visit someone elses island that no matter how many fish you have caught on your own island, the number drops when youre on someone elses island.
i might be wrong about this but i had a friend visit my island once trying to get the stringfish. in order to get it, the gamer has to catch 150 fish first so i had a TON of fish bait waiting for them *400 of them* and they went about fishing for it and it took forever for them to catch....but that was only for the stringfish, which is a very rare fish to begin with. i have no idea about the other fish or sea critters. the visitor had also caught a huge amount of fish on their own island before coming to mine to try.
if you want i would be happy to open my island *ive set it up to be a bug/fish island, but it isnt completed yet* for you to test.

As far as webpages and apps go they confirm that all animals is a buildup in terms of what to catch. Thats why a lot of the scarce and high value ones take some time before you can catch. This might be anywhere from a minimum 20 to minimum 100.

But whats unclear as i stated is what decides that number on an island. Is it the owners catch number, the visitors catch number or the total island catch number(if they work together).

seriously good question. i think its the owner catch number *even on another island*. i dont believe the visitors number counts towards your own catch number.
im willing to test it out with you, and help cypher this. if nobody knows the answer it might be helpful to find the answer to it. i kind of live for doing that sort of thing so im here if you want to test it out.
