Anyone know how I can quickly and efficiently fish up trash on a mystery island? My island has the ordinance where trash won't appear while fishing, and the actual trash island is a 1% chance to get. Is there a faster way to getting trash? Or is it just pure luck?

I'm pretty sure it's all luck based unless there's some tips I'm missing..!
Before a certain update, I think you could've made a "trash pond" or something. I made a pond that only fished up frogs- it was so weird!

Honestly, with that 1% chance of finding the specific island you'd need for the trash, I'd just suggest to either:

- Temporarily end the Beautiful Island ordinance so that you can fish up whichever trash you need. Once you have what you need, just reactivate the ordinance. Do note that the cancellation, and subsequent reactivation, of the ordinance won't go into effect until the following day that you make the request to Isabelle.

or

- If you have Nintendo Switch Online, arrange to pick up whichever types of trash you need from someone else here on the forums and bring it back to your island.

That sounds neat, haha. I would've liked a little frog pond. Though, I can also see it being annoying if someone's trying to fish up something else, so it's for the best that the update fixed it.

I did it on a regular mystery island. I actually got what I was hoping for- the inspiration for the last trash DIY'S. I fished up a stone and a boot. I also caught a koi. :)
