I think all food should be edible and be able to be displayed!

For example: Isabelle gives you yummy chocolate cake for Valentine's Day and you get an edible Birthday cake!
You can eat them or display them, so I don't understand why the pumpkin pie, mochi, pudding etc aren't edible... I really hope we can eat all varieties of food but also display them after we pig out on them hehe this would work well for the sloppy furnature series too! I can just go on an eating spree and then leave all the food containers, cups and bowls etc all over the place (◍︎˃̶ᗜ˂̶◍︎)✩︎ ...

I think this would be really cool! It would also be fun to grow like veggies in a grade and be able to eat them or possibly cook meals with different ingrients!

it looks like we'll be able to craft (or "cook" if you prefer) furniture recipes that make food-based items. i would be so over the moon with happiness if more food furtniture had more interactivity. even if it's just a sound effect like slurping from a straw or a little spin of a spoon in a pot. i do have a feeling new horizons will be even more customization heavy than new leaf.

Eh. I think I'd like separate 'food' from the food furniture better. Like being able to buy snacks and eat them like you can the fruits and other snack things from past games. Little snacks sound better than big plates of food that do nothing but give more 'crafting' resources that wouldn't be used elsewhere.

I like the idea of food in games but it usually falls under two categories: Easy to make food, but ultimately useless (lookin at you, Skyrim) or somewhat more complicated to make food, but the mechanic its used for takes away from my enjoyment of the game (oh look my Starbound character is hungry AGAIN).

Having to plant too much food and things would turn Animal Crossing a little too close to Story of Seasons/Rune Factory for me. Being able to just buy little snacks from a tent or something fits much better into Animal Crossing's whole thing for me.

Some food items will be grown so that's unavoidable but not all.
It wouldn't bother me if I had to grow things since I love Harvest Moon too.

I also would like things like ice cream, food from a bakery etc... ୧꒰*?꒳`*꒱૭✧︎
