This is gonna be another blowout...Jane is way too similar to Violet. Needless to say, Yodel got my vote.

Not a huge fan of either one, but Yodel is much more unique than Jane (who's similar to Violet, as noted above) so I went with him.

Normally I tend to prefer female villagers over male, but as others have pointed out, Jane looks a little too much like violet (also not too big a fan of the snooty personality). Yodel is more unique looking and the lazies are fun.

I would say yodel as I like his name and the Japanese version of Jane looks very strict for some reason....
Plus for the same reason @WaileaNoRei and @~Kilza~ said, Jane looks a lot like violet

Yodel looks like he has a beehive on his head and kind of scares me despite loving gorilla villagers.

we do definitely need more lady gorillas! I would love to see a normal gorilla especially.

I like Yodel, reminds me of a character in Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Heartbreak.

Although Jane's redesign is interesting trivia.

I don't like either. But I'll pick Yodel because he's a lazy, which I prioritize over a snooty.

Yodel has the more interesting design of the two, but he's also a Lazy, which is a personality that, while I certainly have some beloved villagers from (like Drago, Lucky, Marcel, Raddle, Stitches, Tucker, and a few others), is a personality that is among my least favorite.

Jane, meanwhile, is indeed a bit too visually similar to Violet as a number of other posters have stated. That said, I prefer Jane's design and if you just slapped Violet's beaded headband and wristbands on Jane, it'd be a best of both worlds situation for me. She's also a Snooty, which is my favorite female personality and my favorite personality in general beside Smug.

I'll give the vote to Yodel just due to the hat.

Aw, somehow I missed this poll.

I voted for Jane! I'm not a fan of the snooty personality, but I think her name is cute, and as others have pointed out, there are not enough female gorillas! I would love a normal gorilla.

And also, noone will beat Louie as my favourite male gorilla! ☺

Between the two, I would actually vote for Jane, simply because we need more female gorillas. Even though she looks so similar to Violet, I think it would be fun and interesting to see those two interacting with each other

My sincerest apologies for the double post (feel free to delete it), but I've just learned something shocking!

Jane original appearance was way, way different. She didn't look like Violet at all! The (very overused) excuse for this was that they didn't want any racist troubles, so as per usual, anything that resembles black race was completely removed. This is how Jane looked in Japan in the beginning:
