frogs and the rain?

My first AC game was New Leaf, and during the brief times I had frog villagers I noticed they didn't carry umbrellas in the rain. Which, really, seems like tempting fate on Ribbot's part if he doesn't have good water-proofing.

So, is it the same in New Horizons? I haven't gotten a frog villager yet and I've no clue what their rain gear situation is.

it is! all frog villagers don't wear rain gear when it rains. Henry likes the rain, I swear every time it's raining he's just sitting by the river soaking it all in haha

Lol what about the octopi? I never had an but I feel like they'd soak up the rain too

I've also read something about how frogs like umbrella gifts more or something.

The froggies don't wear or carry any rain gear and they have rain specific dialogue like they did in New Leaf.I gave Henry a nice waistcoat and here he is getting it all wet.

Well they are sea animals after all. Maybe freshwater isn't good for them

This is the kind of attention to detail and charm I want to see more of! I’d love if there was species specific dialogue for other villagers too—it just adds so much character to the game (and characters!)
