I just had an idea to ask other people this cause I came to the realization that my pets (mainly my dogs and my betta) do some crazy silly things sometimes. Or just things I find cute.

For example, my little Chiweenie Mulder, who we've only had almost 2 years now, knows how to open doors with his paws. His sister who's a Pittie, who we've had over 6 years, hasn't figured it out yet. Mulder likes to open doors for her if she really wants to leave rooms, which I find adorfind. He also likes to steal his sister's bed with is too big for him.

My betta, who's name is Ghost, is an idiot who's constantly flaring his fins. I'll see a tear one day, and the next it will be gone. I swear he knows healing magic.

But do any of your pets do funny things? Maybe more impressive than mine?

There's this cat here, you have to be very mindful of where he is, otherwise he'll jump on your shoulders.
A lot of the time, he'll cry outside peoples' doors just so he can ride on their shoulders haha.

When he was younger, people use to take him outside like that.
It certainly was not a smart habit to form cause he must stay inside.

My kitten always likes to try and steal my food when I'm eating. When I do give it to her she just bats it around and leaves, but as soon as I go back to eating she's back trying to climb into my lap to steal more. That, and she doesn't really jump well so she climbs everything in sight.

My dog is a spaz. She'll force her way into any pocket of blankets, jackets, pounce on a pile of blankets or pillows, and squeeze in between a person and the couch. Then she sprawls out and takes up as much space as she can.

It's cold here rn so we're wearing jackets inside the house. My dog shoved most of her face in a hoodie pocket and my god it was so freakin cute.

My old cat Daisy did this hilarious thing where if she wanted something, she would do that thing where she basically paws and begs for it. It was really adorable. She also loved to play fetch, and when she was happy she would curl her tail all the way up to her back.

My other kitter Molly is just weird all around. One thing she does is she likes people to pick up her front end so she can stretch her arms straight out. She does it all the time lol

Also apparently when I'm not home (like when I'm at college) my mom's cat Xander will walk up and down the hallway to my room and meow constantly and loudly. He always misses me <3

Funny Things My Cats Do

So, keep in mind that my cats are both rescues so what's happened to them before we got them is unknown to both me and my brother. We just started noticing that they both prefer either my brother or myself. Their names are Valentina and Juniper. I knew Juniper was my brother's cat from the way that she was more affectionate and closer to him than she was to me. One of the weird and funny things they do is when both me and my brother have a really heated argument, it's like that they will too. They'll chase after each other and hit each other like me and my brother do whenever we fight or even play fight. It's weird how we've only had them for little less than two years and yet, they've adapted to how we both are.

There's honestly too many things that my dogs do that are so silly. They're both nuts honestly

One thing silly thing about Roxie is she has an obsession with socks. She used to have this perfect routine of waking up in the morning, going to my parents room, finding a sock, coming back to me and trying to bury the sock underneath me. She's not an outside dog, so she doesn't really understand the concept that making a notion of using her nose to cover something doesn't really work when there's no dirt. She'd do the full notion like there was dirt there. When I come home from work/school, she sometimes tugs at my feet wanting me to take off my socks so she can chew them lol

Hollie is kinda boring compared to Roxie. She does silly little things, like when she runs she looks like a bunny. She loves to hunt bugs; she'll wonder around outside trying to find bugs for hours especially at night. She used to hunt out centipedes in the house too. One specific memory I can remember was when she walked into our pantry and got scared of a pumpkin lol

My cat and puppy are sometimes in cahoots with the Christmas tree. The cat climbs and knocks the ornaments off while the dog chews them.

What's funnier is my cat waits underneath the tree and as soon as the puppy walks by he pounces on the puppy and then runs back under to hide.

Then one of my gerbils chases the cat when he is in his hamster ball. Fully winds up and charges.

My puppy is just hilarious. He is only 9 months so he still is learning what personal space is and how big he actually is

We don’t really have pets anymore at one house, but in the past every cat we had would try to eat the giant leaves off of one of the plants we still have. We dubbed the plant the “cat-attracting plant”. It’s amazing it has managed to survive all this time. Lmao

So I have three Pomeranians and a cat. We have Pumpkin, he was our first pet and my sister stole him immediately. He loves snow and gets really wound up when he comes inside after being in the snow and will run all around the house really fast. Also, sometimes when he begs, he'll stand up on his hind legs and hold himself up on your leg and just stare at you, very slowly turn his head until the whites of his eyes show, then he jumps back. He's also really talkative and has a weird howl that's like "owowow".

We also have Eva, she's very loyal to my mom but never lets her get any sleep at night cause she wants to play. She'll bark at almost anything, like clapping or more than one person doing the same thing, or getting up too fast, ect. She's also really snugly and she'll pray to make you pet her belly. Did I mention her voice is the highest pitched noise in all existence? She can be a little annoying but she's also really sweet.

Banana was our last pomeranian (so far, we might get more) and he's mine. If we're not in the same room, he'll scratch at the door I went through to be with me and when I come back or let him in, he runs up to me and tries to lick my face. If he was just outside and it was wet, he'll lay on the floor and wipe his face or wherever is wet on the carpet. He also has a really high pitched voice and is getting better at howling. He whines a lot too.

And lastly, we have our cat, Victoria. She lives outside and whenever we go outside, she comes running to us, meowing the whole way. Anytime we're walking with her, she always insists on being in front of us but whenever she gets in front, she slows down, tripping us up. She meows a lot and responds to us meowing at her with more meows so it's pretty easy to find her or tell her that her bowl has food in it. (Sorry for the long post)

I have two Australian Shepherds.

Jonas makes the funniest faces and always tilts his head as if he knows what you are saying. We also trained him to say "I love you" which is really 3 distinct whining/barks. He also likes to give "hugs" by walking between your legs. He is so sweet.

Jasper on the other hand just wants love and affection. He is very good at listening to commands to do tricks and he will lay in your lap. Jasper is actually an aussie/border collie mix and he also likes to rapidly run around in circles around the couch to expend some energy. Also, the way he holds his toy between two paws like a human is adorable.

Both of my dogs occasionally lay back to back or rest their heads on each other and that is so freaking cute!

i have a dog who's absolutely terrified of t-posing. you'll t-pose in front of him and he'll dart away and hide behind my mom. whenever he tries to mess with someone's food they just get up and t-pose

My dog is a rescue chihuahua/pomeranian mix and he does so many weird things. I don't know if he was born with these quirks or if they came from things that happened in his past.

He has to have something in his mouth when he yawns. He prefers to put his mouth around our hands if he can, but if he's not close enough to us, he'll use his own paws or a toy or bone. He doesn't bite down. He just fits as much of our hand in his mouth as he can while he yawns and then backs off when he's done. I've never seen another animal do this and don't know where it came from.

He also loves to mark leaves, the bigger the leaf, the better. He'll nose them around to get them in the position he wants and then mark them. I've seen dogs mark a lot of different things, but never leaves.

Another funny thing he does is what we call T-Rexing. He'll stand up on his hind legs with his front paws curled up to his chest and walk behind us if we have something he wants. It is so adorable!

I have a mini cat (3 years old but looking like a 6 months old kitten) that can't meow but make bird like sounds, it's really funny. At night he's always calling his sibling making strange noises and then they play hide and seek and tag for hours.

We have 2 male rats who are actual brothers. They're Nicodemus (or Nico, squashee on the bottom) & Justin (the squasher). Nico LOVES to chew so we have a clip with chew blocks in their cage. When Nico thinks we're taking too long to give them dinner he'll go to the hanging blocks, grab them with his front paws, back up & then slam them into the cage really hard. They make a nice loud clang. Then he peeks around them to see if anyone noticed and if he doesn't see us moving he'll keep banging until we start getting their dinner ready. Justin is a climber. He'' climb from the 1st floor of the cage to the 3rd floor and sometimes he stops halfway and rests his behind on the plastic ramp that's in there for them to walk up to the 3rd floor.

My cat likes to go up on the roof sometimes lol but I guess thats every cat. He also likes to stand on the window ledge outside looking inside the room lol aside from that, maybe some dog tendencies when he follows me everywhere lol

I have five cats~And they all have funny things they all do.

My youngest, called Taishi really likes tiny foil balls and carries them around with her and her little pillow she's had since she first came to our house. She also likes sitting on the top edge/frame of the living room door. Also whenever she wants to lay by the heater but the other cats are already sitting there; she will stand on them until they move.

One of my other cats Trixie use to chase his own tail and play with his older brother's tail (Tinkerbell)
Zar zar, likes to wake my mum up by headbutting her and boy does he have a strong skull! He also likes to lay on his back alot and loves trying to get into any small space possible. He's also one of those whom will constantly cry while we are preparing his food as if he hadn't eaten in ages.
And lastly Bell does is when I am stroking her, she likes to bite me a little.

There's this person who used to be my bf, now is my best friend. He visits me literally almost everyday.
Every Day. Yet, my baby boy (who's a black cat) would open his eye wide, to stare at him when this person comes in. Like
"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU".
Every, single, day.

my dog, Frodo, is a havanese, his back legs are longer than his front. when he goes down stairs he cant go two legs at a time because of his longer back legs, so he would plop forward and roll down the stairs. instead, he does a freakin balancing act and stands on his front legs, and hops down the steps on them, its really adorable. its hard to explain but hes like a little acrobat
