Many gold items are in ACNL to make you feel as fancy as a king like objects, house parts and tools. I'll give you tips on how to make your stuff into gold with this golden touch.

*h0us3 part5* So to start out, you want to have ALL of your upgrades. This enables the theme challenge from Lyle, where the scoring changes. You'll need to get 1,100,000 HRA points to get the full set.. But how do you get 1,100,00? I know it's ALOT of points so you should follow this tip:
*Start looking for complete sets that you have and use them. Here is a link that scores each sets: http://www.thonky.com/animal-crossing-new-leaf/happy-home-academy
*Exterior even gets judges so make sure it matches up.
Here are some tips you might have questions about:
- Pavement in your exterior doesn't get scored.
- 70% of the items in a room need to match your theme in order for the whole room to be scored AT ALL.
- Exterior parts change the multiplier of each item scored in each room. This can or can't change your score DRAMATICALLY.
- Your house is scored after 6am everyday, so it won't be updated as soon as you change the rooms. Every change you make, you either need to wait a day or TT to 6am.
- As soon as you unlock all of the exterior Gold parts, the mailbox being the last, you can set up your house any way you want. They will permanently be unlocked through Lyle.
- You can only renovate one Gold exterior part once a day.

-Golden Net: You must catch all of the bug types, completing your bug picture book. Once your picture book is completed, go to a bug catching tournament and talk to the lizard in charge to receive your golden net.
-Golden Fishing Rod: You must catch all of the river and ocean fish. After you have completed your picture book of all the non-deep-sea fish, go to a fishing tourney and talk to the beaver in charge to receive your golden fishing rod.
-Golden Shovel: You must purchase at least 50 bags of fertilizer from the garden shop. Fertilizer is only available if your store has been upgraded to the department store.
-Golden Axe: You must purchase at least 50 tree saplings from the garden shop. Leif will give you the golden axe after you buy your 50th sapling. The golden axe never breaks.
-Golden Watering Can: Go to the front desk of the town hall and ask Isabelle about citizen satisfaction. If your town maintains perfect town status for 15 days in a row, you will get the golden watering can when you ask Isabelle about citizen satisfaction on the fifteenth day. The golden watering can is able to water 9 flowers at a time.
-Golden Slingshot: After you have shot down 14 or more balloon presents, in rare cases you might see the golden slingshot float by in a golden toolbox. Shoot it down with your slingshot to get it.
