A lot of people seem to hate gen 5 because of lack of being able to catch other gen Pokemon
Or having ice cream ( which does suck ) and garbage ( which is cool ) but there are great mons
Such as hydragon , elektross ( my fave Pokemon ) , Zekrom!!!!

It?s really a good gen mainly cuz I grew up with it cuz nostalgia
But to what extent do u agree it?s probably one of the best regions ?! confused:

I love it. The cities and routes were amazing for DS graphics. They had heaps of cool Pokemon as well. The introduced a heap of cool bugs like Galvantula, Scolipede, Accelgor, Escavalier, Volcarona, dragons such as Hydreigon and Haxorus and fire types like Darmanitan and Chandelure. The games were also a nice challenge and the storylines of the region were great. It's not my favourite region but I definitely love it

I?ll be honest gen 5 is rather meh to me. I definitely don?t hate it though. The whole urban thing just isn?t to my tastes and that?s ok everyone is different.

It?s nice to see there?s someone that likes each gen out there for their own reasons. I?d be lying if I said I didn?t like playing through both Black and Black 2. They were quite fun, I just personally prefer games in the Hoenn and Johto regions for example.

I agree though, despite gen 5 being my least favourite it doesn?t deserve all the hate. I also love Zoura. Snivy and Audino have also grown on me. :)

gen 5 is definitely my favorite. though, it was my first, so i might sound a bit biased. the narrative is probably the best of the series imo if you don't count spinoffs (explorers of time/darkness/sky probably has the best narrative of any pokemon game). i can't hate any pokemon generation however, i like all of them

Gen 5 is one of my favorites, since I really enjoyed playing Black/White and also later Black/White 2. Most of the Pokemon are my favorites, such as Snivy, Purrloin or Gothitelle. Also the Unova region is pretty nice in my opinion. Don't understand why this Gen gets so much hate, as it's not that bad at all.

The only thing I didn't like that much about Gen 5 was it's Mystery Dungeon game, as Gates to Infinity wasn't really my favorite MD game.

Gen 5 is definitely not one of my favorites, it’s just pretty average to me. Unova as a region just didn’t really capture my interest like previous generations did. It was just so linear, which is my biggest gripe with it. It was literally just traveling in one big circle, so the region just felt pretty blah to me.

I understand why some people didn’t like a fair bit of the new Pok?mon that generation, but I don’t mind them too much.

I've actually been playing a bit of Gen 5 recently.
I wouldn't say it's my favourite but it does add stuff to the game I like that's sorta new. Moving pokemon in battles for example.
I don't mind it at all, it's fun playing through it again and seeing what I could do with it.

I actually really like the games, but I love all of the main series pokemon games. I enjoy playing through it, and it did, although with flaws, introduce many cool new pokemon. Still, it's probably my second or third least favourite pokemon game, with x and y being last.

Gen. 5 has the best music!
Aniville might be my favourite Pokemon town bgm.

A word maybe a letter in this case... x3

Generation 5 is one of my favorites, though not my absolute favorite.

The first and major thing it has in its favor is that it was the first generation where I was able to trade Pok?mon online. I had a lot of fun with that, including trading myself the other starters and managing to do trade evolutions for the first time since Pokemon Stadium 2. Speaking of online, when it was operational it was pretty fun to use the Pok?mon Dream World on the Pok?mon website and find Hidden Ability Pok?mon, though that could get annoying if you were trying to find something specific.

I personally enjoy the Pok?mon introduced in this generation, including Trubbish and Garbodor since they seem to get a lot of hate. There were a lot of cool ones like Archeops, Braviary, Chandelure, Eelektross, Excadrill, Galvantula, Gothitelle, Haxorus, Mandibuzz, Scolipede, Hydreigon, Sawsbuck, Volcarona, and Zoroark and it has some of my favorites of all generations like Beheeyem, Cofagrigus, Escavalier and Serperior.

I didn't mind the lack of Pok?mon from other regions because I had recently come back to the series with HeartGold & SoulSilver and I was more interested in trying out new Pok?mon I hadn't used before. Additionally, if you had more than one copy and the ability to transfer Pok?mon up into the Gen 5 from the Generation 4 games, or if you knew people who had the Pok?mon you wanted to use and could trade with them, it wasn't that big of a deal.

I enjoyed traveling across the Unova region and it had a lot of enjoyable stuff to do, and I really liked the addition of the Pok?mon World Tournament in Black 2/White 2. It's overall a very strong generation for me, and the only reason it's not my absolute favorite is because of the advances they've made in the year since. Things like Generation 6 introducing the ability to use the Destiny Knot to pass on IVs while breeding, Super Training in the Generation 6 games and the boost to the Power Items in Sun/Moon, the ever expanding Pok?Dex, and of course Trainer Customization. Needless to say, I'd absolutely love to see a remake of Generation 5 down the line with modern graphics and access to all of the Pok?mon up to now.

I love Gen 5!

Amazing music, well thought out characters, a plot that makes you think behind the actions of the characters, the sprite style was at its absolute best, the music, excellent designs for characters and Pokemon, best protagonists, musicals, game being more difficult/challenging, encouraging you to use new Pokemon, caused more trainer merchandise to happen, the manga is amazing and wrecks your heart into a million pieces, what's not to love?

We didn't deserve Unova!!! ;o;
