I'm still fairly new to the online world of ACNL, and I'd just like some clarification so I know how to proceed in the future - let's say you're looking for a villager, and there are a few threads up offering that very villager. Is it acceptable to make offers on different threads for the same villager? It could be very unfair to the host if you were to make a bid on their villager, only to pull out at the last minute because you found a better deal elsewhere. I apologize in advance if this is a dumb question/a question that has already been answered. T_T

People dislike it when others make multiple deals on different threads. Sure, it can be easily fixed (give the villager/item to another person), but it comes off as rude and sometimes desperate.

Ok, that's what I thought. Thanks for confirming!

I'm kind of wondering about a few of these things too haha 8'D

- When is it proper to tip? I found it to be incredibly nice when some people have tipped me, so I'm assuming its something people enjoy but in what situations would it be considered annoying/pointless?
- Is the host always expected to cut the wifi? I've always let people leave when they wanted to before I actually joined an acnl community
- is there anything in particular that I should do/not do to avoid being rude or unpleasant

Thank you!

Well, personally I think it's very rude to lurk and then snipe. I mean if you know you have an autobuy offer in bells/items, goddamn offer it at first so we don't get 56 pages of people trying to get help and good bids :(

I think it's horrible when people extend auction times. There's no excuse for it. If they have something come up, the auction can still end, but the winner can get what they bought later.

haha oh my gosh, this. Some people insist on ending the session and others don't care if you just leave. and I never know what to do. @_@ I'm afraid if I wait for them to cut the wifi, they're sitting there like "well is she going to leave or what. GET OUT." But I don't wanna just leave bc I know that a lot of people don't like that bc there's a chance for errors. I get anxiety at this point, lol.
