So, in the past two days I have completed two PWPs (cobblestone bridge and campsite) and have paid off my loans, and expanded into a two-storey house!
THURSDAY EVENING
So, I got access to the island and decided to go on a bug-hunt! In 5 trips to the island, I made around 400,000 Bells! Bug hunting on the island in the evenings is the best, you get loads of high-value bugs quickly! Once I had paid off my loan and the PWP, I went to the island once more to relax. I went on a quick gardening tour and picked up some purple violets to take back with me because they were pretty, and also some lemons and lychees. I loaned out a wetsuit and went for a swim as well.Swimming is so relaxing, as long as you stay away from the jellyfish! I caught some deep-sea creatures by diving, which I saved to donate to the museum. Then I went fishing, and caught ten sharks, including an ocean sunfish, shark and saw shark. I was pleased with my day's work, and took the long trip home to Fairview, with the sound of Kapp'n's singing still playing in my head when I arrived on the shores of my beloved town. I donated the new fish to the museum, sold my other items, planted the flowers and went home to bed.
FRIDAY
I awoke, and immediately moved my furniture to fit with my newly expanded room! I had post, from Gloria and from Cube, which I checked, and then answered. Whilst at the Post Office, I deposited the rest of the Bells I had earned the night before, leaving 10,000 for a trip to Able Sisters and Nookling Junction. As I wandered over to the stores, I noticed a huge green tarpaulin. I went inside the Nook brother's store, and quickly left again seeing they had nothing I was interested in. Then I went into Able Sisters, and bought a dress, and a pair of trousers. I also spoke to Sable, who appears to be warming to me. I spent the rest of the day earning money by fishing and catching bugs in Fairview, and donating what we didn't already have to the museum. Blather's seems to like that I've taken an interest in local culture, and it's a goal of mine to fill the museum up with fossils, paintings, bugs and fish! Before visiting the island, I decided to set a town ordinance, because I had finally chosen which one to use. I chose Beautiful Town, because I was planning on filling Fairview with flowers of all types and colours! I made a last trip to the island to relax a while, before returning home paying off my mortgage, asking Nook to expand, and going to sleep knowing the next morning I'd have an upstairs to my previously tiny home!
SATURDAY
I woke up, and ran upstairs to see what magic had been worked overnight. The room was smaller than I expected, but nevertheless, I moved my bed upstairs. I'm definitely going to use it as my bedroom. I had two letters in my mailbox this morning, one from the Bellpoint and one from Gloria. I had earned a prize for saving 100,000 Bells in my account. The prize was a box of tissues. Nice. I quickly wrote back to Gloria, but put off sending it until I needed to visit Main Street. I had made a decision to create an orchard of expensive fruit in the top right part of town, and set to work straight away, getting all the rare fruit I had hoarded in my drawers out, set about digging holes in a checkerboard-style pattern. I realised that I needed to chop down a few trees to make room for my fruit trees, and remembered the tarpaulin I had seen the day before. I decided it was time to check out the new shop, and also pay Timmy and Tommy a visit, as well as Able Sisters.
The tarpaulin had vanished, and in it's place was a beautiful little garden shop run by an animal named Leif, who I think is a girl. She seems very enthusiastic about gardening, flowers and landscaping, but I think she's a bit of a scatterbrain, as she seems to forget the prices of items when I ask her. I bought an axe, which I needed badly, and then two packs of flowers to plant. I thanked her, and continued my shopping trip. In Able Sisters, I spoke to Sable again, before checking out the clothes and accessories but leaving empty-handed. In Nookling Junction, I bought a drum kit, and then paid Nook a visit to ask about the cost of my expansion. It was quite expensive, but I figure I'll be able to pay it off quite soon. Nook must be pretty satisfied with how fast I'm paying off his loans! I also spoke to Lyle, from the HHA, who gave me my rating, which was pretty low, to be honest.
I went back to town, and started on my orchard, planting trees. I decided my orchard would look super-beautiful if I planted flowers wherever there wasn't a tree, so I walked around town, picking up all the flowers I could find, and then planting them in the spaces. I've filled less than three rows so far, so I'm guessing it's going to take a looong time, but will be helped by my Beautiful Town ordinance. Afterwards, I paid a visit to the Town Hall to officially open the campsite. A tiger named Rowan was staying in it, but when asked if he'd like to live in Fairview, he decided he couldn't leave his current town. I went back to speak to Isabelle about a new PWP, and decided on a design signboard, which I put at the entrance to my orchard. It's going to cost me 40,000 Bells. I'm planning on putting a border of hedges around the orchard, and having an entrance for people to get in and out. Hopefully the villagers will be pleased with it.
I went round to speak to everyone about the new PWP project that needed donations, and Marcie congratulated me on the new town ordinance, and said I had a great vision for Fairview. I spoke to Beardo, however, and he said that he wasn't exactly happy with how things are going. That's kinda been the last straw for me now, he's not been very nice to me in the few days I've lived here, and his house is in an awkward place, so I think I'm going to have to get rid of him somehow. Speaking about getting rid of villagers, Shari, who's been living in Fairview for a maximum of two days, asked to move out. I said she could, as she obviously didn't enjoy living here if she only wanted to stay for two days!
So now I'm off to earn Bells to pay off that two-storey expansion... catch ya later!
