Getting more hybrids

I want to share something I noticed yesterday when I time traveled a few days forward... (To get campers)

My whole town is stuffed with flowers since I'm trying to get as many hybrids as possible. But while I have many pink, purple and black roses, I had trouble getting... All the other hybrids. Had.
I have the beautiful town ordinance, so when I time traveled I didn't have to water all my flowers, but only the ones I wanted to breed.
And since I'm lazy I only watered my two orange roses that never produced another one until... The next day. Plop. A third orange rose. I tried it again and time traveled forward and plop. A fourth orange rose.
Then I tried watering both the orange roses AND my white pansies (never had a blue pansie in NL!) ...and plop a blue pansie the next day + another orange rose.

So... I guess there's a certain amount of hybrids that will pop up everyday, and with only watering the ones you want to breed, you narrow it down to these hybrids you're trying to get.

Sorry if this is something that is already known!
And I honestly don't know whether knowing this is a good or bad thing...

So, w/ Beautiful Ordinance running, Kiwi, you ONLY watered the flowers that would sprout a hybrid, then TT 1x day, & a hybrid surfaced?

If that's the case, hrm, very interesting...

This is pretty much what I've experienced, as well. I needed some more black roses, so I put two of them together, only watered those and steadily got one extra every day. I'm now doing the same with my pink lillies.

o: If I only water a certain hybrid I usually have at least 2 pop up, but usually focus on 2-3 different types of hybrids and only water those, and the average for me is 6 hybrids a day.

Exactly! It definitely works for me... I'm only watering my blue pansies right now and I'm getting more and more every day.
Hmm... I'll try to figure out how many hybrids can pop up every day, but it's hard to keep track of all those flowers in my town xD

Yeah it seems like this helped me too... I have been trying to get blue roses and I needed purple roses really really bad. I had been watering all my flowers everyday forever just because I could and nothing was happening.. I was lucky to get another normal rose. Then one time I just decided to only water the white roses I was breeding for purple and after I couple days I got 2 in one day!!! Now I have 3 or 4 just by following this method.

I've been doing this on my Alt town for ages. ~ I posted about it but no one seemed to care.
Shame I keep my main town on Night owl, so I have to water everything there anyway, but my Alt town keeps my hybrid stock up.

Doesn't matter, It was like end of June I realised this and I'm not sure it got it's own thread or if I posted in one already about hybrids and the thread died after my post. (I'm good at that. xD) I told a couple of my BF list people and they've been doing it a while too. I hadn't really considered that people weren't doing this already. xP I've gotten hundreds of hybrids now, though admittedly some are from TTing ages to get villagers out of my spare town.

Yeah I have been doing this since the begining and now I have lots of the hybrids I wanted and got them very fast (although I forgot to water them sometimes )
