Getting villagers to move in via birthday wish?

I was looking up the purpose of typing a birthday wish and found some people saying that their wishes came true when they wished for PWPs and villagers to move in. Has anyone tried it yet? If you have, have you tried something other than a villager of PWP?

I'm not entirely sure, but I wished for Benjamin the dog on my birthday, and I definitely don't have him yet :c
Given, I TT all the time, so if it does do anything, it doesn't work if you TT, it would seem.

Just a coinkadink although my second character Kim wished for Flora, and Flora was the next villager to appear in the campsite. My town was full at the time though. I thought it was still strange.

Although I wished for more PWP and ended up getting like a whole bunch of suggestions... BUT THAT MIGHT BE LUCK SINCE I'M MAX FRIENDSHIP WITH THEM ALL
