It is, but the Skull is the Ghost Recon logo.

I think it's your imagination.

Should've just kept the focal on the right hand render and gotten rid of the left hand one, along with the skull emblem.

It's too crowded. You should attempt to only keep one main focal point on the signature. The logo on top distracts from the background. It's a good try.
