I'm not sure how many people this applies to, but I'll post this anyway.
When HHP was announced, I was skeptical about whether it was something I wanted to do. Not just because it's DLC you need to shell out money for, but I'm not a big "design" Animal Crossing player. My island is always in the editing phase because I'm always scoping new ideas from social media.
But on a whim, I took a chance on it and I've been having a blast. Plus I'm one of those people that struggles with self-confidence and this was a good relief for that. I've made some builds that I even amazed myself with and seeing the animals react to how it turns out, catching different poses and interactings with photos- it's really heartwarming and sweet.
I've also kinda noticed- I'm a big sucker of symmetry and that's usually what I end up with, haha
