Glitch with uchi villagers?

Sometimes when I talk to Pashmina for the first time that day, I'm given the option to say "I delivered it!". Once it's selected, she says something vague like "Thanks for taking care of that!" and I get the little "you did a good thing" noise. I only have one uchi villager so I can't tell if she's glitching or if I'm super forgetful about running errands.

Maybe you just delivered something the other day and forgot to talk to her again. But maybe it is a glitch. Does she give you a reward for delivering it?

Did you time travel? Cuz I used to have the same problem with burying time capsules. I would bury a capsule for a villager one day and get the thanks afterward. Then some days pass and I would go back for a random reason to that same day and talk to them and they would ask me if I buried it again. Hmmm.
