I'm kinda new to AC:CF, and I wanna know how to get the golden axe. I it the same way from AC:WW? I got three scallops this week though.... So I'm not sure.

you need a wishing well
just get a axe and throw it in the well
but it takes a while(days or weeks)
you get it "randomly"

The fountain is only 500,000 Bells.

just give money(500k, do it in increments of 100k) to the town fund and volia! a fountain will be built in about a week
just throw your axe in and talk to the fairy(it takes several tries tho, you'll see what I mean)

No, first I donate 200,000 bells to the fund to make the third bridge. And then for the fountain, I have to donate 400,000 not 500,000 bells.
