i've been excitedly talking about animal crossing more and more as we get more info about ac:3ds. i've kinda been pushing my babe to play, and within the past week or so, they've finally had a chance to get themself an emulator and get started :D it's been nice having them watch me play, but i'm so glad they're getting involved now, and actually starting to get excited with me about features of the new game

the best news is they're now getting a 3ds for christmas! so we can wifi together when ac:3ds comes out!! woooo

have you managed to recruit anybody to the adorable wonder of animal crossing? i'm so proud of myself, and also now i feel less annoying when i talk about it so much heh

I don't think I've ever gotten anyone to play it. One of my friends introduced it to me.
I wish I could get my boyfriend to play to have someone to enjoy it with, but he's the kind of guy that would have more fun doing things to annoy me in the game, such as running through my flowers or relocating them or replacing my pathway tiles with his own tiles that say something goofy on them (which is what he did the one time that I did convince him to play) I'm just glad there wasn't an ax in the shop the day he played because he would have had some fun with that, haha. It's not really the kind of game that he would play in the long run :p which is unfortunate but oh well~

The only people I know who I could talk into playing would be my grandparents. xD

My brother already knows about the game and he's grown out of it since he's gotten older. I could probably get my grandparents into it since they've retired, but they're both RPG type people. My boyfriend already knows the series and enjoys it just as much as I do.

If it wasn't for this person encouraging me to buy Animal Crossing I probably would of never heard of it.

^sounds EXACTLY like my boyfriend haha!! He would never play animal crossing though :p Actually, neither would most of my girl friends, even though I think they would like it if they tried... but my one friend who is really into animal crossing, sadly isn't getting a 3DS because that would be the only game she wants, and so the money for the whole new system wouldn't be worth it :(

I'm having a similar situation right now. Animal Crossing isn't the only game that I would want for it, but I still don't have a long list of games either. Outside of AC, there's only one other game that I would get for sure, and another game that I'm considering. I really wish that they had more games for the system that I would enjoy playing that weren't part of an established series. I feel like I might be able to get away with something like Paper Mario (or any mario game at that) without having played any of the previous ones (which I haven't), but there are other series that I wouldn't feel so comfortable doing that with, and that includes most of the rpg games that are out or are coming out.

But yeah. You made me remember that one of my old/best friends has a 3DS and would be able to get Animal Crossing for it.
I would still really like for my bf to play with me though xD but I know he wouldn't think it would be worth it to get a 3DS. He hasn't gotten any Nintendo systems since the gamecube came out.
