Just went thru Gracie's fashion checks to get the last upgrade to the store.

Noticed that if Gracie wants Ornate or Modern and you are a guy then it is tough because Ornate only has the Royal shorts and Modern has no pants or bottoms for the guys.
I wonder if guys don't get asked to do these two styles.

If you are going to do the Gracie fashion checks please do yourself a favor and copy the guides about it so you know what clothing and accessories are what style.
Without a guide I doubt anyone could figure it out.
It would be very wise to start building your wardrobe in each style to prepare for it.
From what I understand you will need a hat, accessory, top and bottom (or dress) and socks and shoes in that style.
Sporty style does not need socks.
If you nail it you get Gracie gorgious furniture, if you just barely pass you get a lesser gift.

You got to pass 4 checks to get the store and you can do that in one day by time traveling back one day then forward one day for each check.

Hope this helps someone get thru the checks easier.

Ugh, Gracie was the hardest part of the game for me. I'm dreading having to go through that all again with my second town.

If anyone hasn't done it yet, I reccommend having an outfit in each style already picked out and stored separately so when you get her you can just throw on whatever you already have set aside for that theme. Don't do what I did and basically stockpile every clothing item and assume you'll remember what is which... that just ends up with you having to look up the themes of each item to try and pull something together at the last minute.

Two quick notes:

1) There's no penalty for wearing opposite-sex clothing. My male mayor wears a lot of "feminine" clothes and Gracie doesn't care. All she cares about is that at least three (?) of your clothing slots (head/accessory/top/bottoms/socks/shoes) are filled with the style she asked for.

2) If you mix two styles that aren't incompatible, you'll get a Gracie item. When she visited Matcha this morning, she asked for me to wear basic clothes. I mixed basic and cute, and got an item from the Sweets series.

Interestingly, if you don't mix styles and wear all one style, she'll comment on how you look vanilla and sort of boring. But she'll still give a piece of furniture.

Yah, I remember my very first attempt on the gracies fashion check, I forgot that there had to be at least three clothing pieces of the required theme to pass and I've been trying other themes to make it work and it honestly took me like two hours for the one check, gah my stupidity xD

Yeah it's best to follow all of the guides, my best suggestion is to buy everything clothing wise from Able Sister everyday and just sell it to Reese and then on a day you get gracie just order the things you need from the nooklings, that way you aren't wasting space trying to save stuff for every style. I think Historical was the hardest for me cause I had maybe 2 items for it so I just skipped it and went to the next day she came and she asked for something else.
