Guess I should be flattered, but still puzzled...

So, I posted my dream code on a Facebook group, and one user replied that it was a cute town, but that it seemed like I was just trying to show off my hacks. I guess it should be flattering that after 18 months of daily play they said that, because it took me nearly 3,000 hours to achieve all this, and I'm still working on it, because it still isn't where I want it! :p

Honestly, I'm not even sure why they would even say that. Having all 8 villager personality types unlocked all the PWP's, and I put 30 around my town, but they're not in the ocean, or on top of each other, like the famous hacked town, and the only furniture items I didn't get myself (7/11 set and foreign food) I bought on Animal Crossing trading sites. The other stuff I earned though daily play (and many, MANY island hops). It would be different if I had stuff that hasn't been released yet, but I don't, everything I have has all been released and can all be acquired legitimately, so I'm puzzled why they said I had hacks (plus, hacks are stuff like the emporium floor/wall which you can't get by legit means). If you want to see the same dream they did, here's the address: 5500-4441-1777.

I'm in love with your town, I like how you have bushes instead of paths
Good thing your dream address is so easy to remember because I'll be visiting often
Question: Do you time travel or plot reset?

Oh, and that person was probably just jealous

Honestly, I'm starting to think that they were jealous, because I'm in it right now going around the town over and over, and I just don't see how they could possibly say it's got hacks.

Of course I also watched this town grow little by little each day until now, and remember how far I've come- I just wish these flowers would grow faster, it's taken me 6 months, and I still don't have "Orangeland" finished around the cafe, "Purpleton" behind Town Hall still needs two more rows, then I can focus on "Redville" by Pashmina's house, "Pinkly" around Julie's tent and "Rosetown" between Papi and Maelle (needs more purple and pink). It's true, a mayor's job isn't finished! LOL

Thanks, I like the bushes too, and my original intent was something to protect my flowers from running visitors (and myself since I like running too). I just randomly placed whatever 2 were in the shop, so they're not going to form any kind of pattern or anything. Well, except the ones around my mayor house. Those were my first ever grown gold roses, and I did NOT want them destroyed, so I used hibiscus starts, but I alternated between yellow and red.

Lastly, I wish I had plot reset, Pashmina's house is NOT where I'd like it- I actually had plans in that area for red flowers with yellow mixed in having a message "HELLO" (it would have been right along the tracks which would have been super cool), but that stupid goat plopped her house right in the middle of the area, so that kind of killed those plans! And I won't time travel either, it's the only way I've been able to keep my original 5 (if you sit under the tree, Skye, Maelle, Papi, Antonio and Rooney won't have move in dates). I also like how my last ever PWP was the windmill- took Pashmina long enough to request it! Why? I built it back in June, so my calender under the tree starts with becoming mayor on June 11, 2013, and ends June 22, 2014, with the windmill roughly 1 full year later. I just like having it go an entire year with everything happening.

This does kind of feel a little like I've "painted myself into a corner", because my 30 projects have to be my only ones from now on (any new ones will be added to my town history), but I can honestly say since the windmill was the final project I needed requested, and looking over the ones on the list in the past, the ones I have I like, so I'm happy. It's also another odd thing, because without time travel, I have no clue how I can possibly stop playing this game, because I don't want to lose any of my 10! Five are original, Quillson was the first ever to move in, Dotty was in my Wild World town, Rosie is just too cute, Lily is my absolute dreamie, and Pashmina was the last in, so she won't even request to move. Thanks, Nintendo, you've successfully made a game I can never stop playing for the rest of my life! :/ LOL

As others have stated, they're just jealous. Maybe try explaining to them everything you just said about how you've worked hard to get your town where it is and that you're not showing off. Hopefully they will understand, and if they don't, drop them.

I did, and their reply? "That's cute", leading me to believe they may be just trolling the page. So, I've come to the sense that at this point they are jealous, and claim I've only got what I have through cheating. Sad that people can't accept that some of us work pretty hard, even in games. I was puzzled more than anything else, because I can see where people would think I've time traveled, but I don't have a 100% catalog, and there are a few items I'd like to have (convenient floor/wall do look pretty cool), but I think I may call it quits on cataloging, and be content with my Japanese/American items. Besides, after I get my flowers grown, it'll be time to work on converting Jason's house into a gold modern, since I don't want to "goldify" my mayor house. :)e

Ugh, people like that annoy me to the core. Just say something along the lines of "Fine, believe what you want to believe and I'll just keep having fun with my town." or something like that. Can't believe how ignorant some people are.

Yeah, I agree, I can't believe how ignorant some people can be, but at least I know when I'm having fun with this game next year most likely they've moved long on to other games, because they won't have any Animal Crossing friends left with that kind of attitude! :)

Eh, just ignore them. They're either purposely trolling or incredibly jealous because they're too lazy to get the same results themselves. I wouldn't even give them the satisfaction of replying.

PS: Nice town.

They are probably jealous, like everyone else has mentioned. It seems like you have put lots of work into your town, so don't listen to them, they are just jealous because they are too lazy to make their town look nice :)
