Gulliver the sailor or Gulliver the astronaut?

Which one do you like better? I like him as a sailor more, but it is more interesting to shoot down the UFO and search for parts than repeatedly talk to him to wake him up.

I agree that the UFO version is more interesting, but for whatever reason, I love the sailor more.

I only played the Gamecube version and New Leaf, so I was actually unaware that he was an astronaut in the other 2 games. My vote is for sailor.

I've been playing the series since the GameCube game and have only really known him as a sailor. I never got very far in City Folk because I found it boring and the game always felt awkward. As such, I never managed to experience him doing his whole astronaut thing.

That said, I'd like it if he returned to being an astronaut in the next game and voted for that. It seems a bit more interesting. It's for a pretty silly reason though, as it would just suit the sort of towns I make a bit more than the sailor.

The game is called animal Crossing for a reason. Gulliver is a seagull and a bird is an animal so he's more suited to be a Sailor. If he was an astronaut he would be considered an alien. As much as I love thr UFO idea I want it to make an appearance again in future AC games but at the same time I would want him to stick to the Sailor idea.

i prefer gulliver the sailor. not only because he's a seagull, but since new leaf is the only main animal crossing game i played thus far, i am more used to him being a sailor. the idea of gulliver being an astronaut sounds interesting, though.

Shooting down his spaceship in CF and WW was a pain! Aways missed, sometimes I do get him.
