When it comes to Animal Crossing artwork, most people like to draw their favorite animal villagers. However, I prefer to draw the human player characters. I've been drawing these since I first got into the series way back in 2012.

So, let's go through a history of my Animal Crossing art, starting with the first digital one I made back in 2012, which was a drawing of my character's head on MS Paint.

Yeah... Not very good. Actually, pretty creepy. Looks like I predicted Killager from Super Smash Bros...

Next up, here's a full body picture of my character, wearing a Big Bro's Tee.

Looking a little better... But still not that good. Looks like I also predicted New Leaf's taller characters. But then again, New Leaf was announced two years before I made this, so I guess it was actually a coincidence.

After that, I did some pixel art.

This one's not that bad, I have to say.

Eventually, I moved on to a better program. Paint.NET. I also never really drew anything again until I got my drawing tablet earlier this year. Here's the first thing I did on it.
Radd Drawing Tablet.jpg
You might notice he looks a little different. That's because he's not my character, he's an original character named Radd. His name is based on an old Population Growing cheat that requires you to name your character Radd and your town SpazTown. Also, he's based on this guy.

See that little logo I have in my signature now that says "Radd"? That's related to him.

Another one, this time he's jumping.
Radd Jumping.jpg
Not much to say about this one. His legs are too long though.

This is the last one I did on Paint.NET before I moved on to Paint Tool SAI.
Radd Blank Stare.jpg
Not much to see here. Just Radd with a blank stare.

And now we're here, at Paint Tool SAI. The program I'm currently using for artwork. These images are actually about four times larger, but I resized them for TBT.
Radd SAI Small.jpg
This Radd's a bit more on-model to the games. A bit less cartoony, though. I did this one about a week ago.

Finally, for Back to the Future Day, I drew Radd on a hoverboard.
Radd McFly Small.jpg
This is one of my personal favorites. Notice the little details like "NOOK" instead of "NIKE" on the power-laces. Unfortunately, he hasn't really grasped the concept of self-adjusting jackets yet, judging by one of his sleeves...

So, what do you guys think? Which one's your favorite? What improvements could I make? I'll continue to update this topic as I draw some more.

Wow these are awesome! I love everything you did on Paint.NET and the very last one. All the hidden detail is cool too! You should do requests :)

Wow, TBT compresses my images a lot. Well, here's high quality versions of both of the Paint Tool SAI drawings if you wanna see them.

I really like it!

I also like how you've laid the thread out :3 xD

The last few are definitely my favourites

Aw so cool ^^

It's awesome to see how you progressed after every piece! :D

Also, here's another from 2012.

My digital drawing skills were nowhere near as good as the time (You could probably tell by looking at my crappy 2012 MS Paint drawings) so I decided to use a base I found on DeviantART that was based on the design for human characters in the 2006 Wild World movie. It was unfinished and will forever remain that way because I'm better than bases now  I'm impressed by how good I was at drawing pixel-by-pixel at the time, though.

Slightly unrelated to the thread, but related to the character. Here where I live, they sell candy that you can mold like clay. So I decided to make Radd out of candy!

Drew this yesterday. Probably one of my favorites.

I've drawn Radd with pen and colored pencils before, but it was usually just small drawings of him I did for comics. (Which I may post sometime in the future)

You've really improved a lot throughout the years. I love seeing art progression. Keep up the good work. c: I wonder how much you'll improve in another 4 years. ^^

Oh yeah, I forgot to post these here. I made some artwork of Sable, one of my favorite AC characters! These were actually drawn just in time for her birthday three days ago.

Sable is really cute! <33

When I opened your MS Paint spoiler from 2012, I was not expecting that. haha. I remember back in the early 2000s, when I was using MS Paint. That's really good! I rather like the detail work on your Paint Tool SAI pictures too. :)

Just gonna bump this two-year old thread with a comic I made...

For context
Got a laugh out of me. :) Another from that Waluigi shirt in the background. haha.
Also! Aha! I thought you had some artistic influence from Sonic!

Super cute!

Thanks, everyone! By the way, I wanted to know if my current format of posting everything in Imgur albums is working fine for everyone. On desktop it's great because you have direct access to the highest quality version. But thanks to Imgur's incompetence, the mobile version of the site loads EVERY image as a low quality JPEG (even if it's actually a PNG) and it looks awful. Even direct links to the images just take you to the mobile site on phone browsers, instead of the actual image like it used to.

If anyone has a better idea, please let me know. I don't like TBT's image upload feature because it compresses everything way too much, and these pictures are too high-res to be uploaded via the URL feature. I can't be bothered to make smaller and smaller resolution versions of each and every image until I find something that fits the board's limit.
