Gyroids?

Did anyone see any collectable gyroids?
I only got to see the Direct once so I might have missed them.

I hope they're in it. I loved collecting them in New Leaf.

They'll probably be in there. Too integral for the main AC vibe that theyd get rid of them. I was very concerned about the scarcity of public places that hadnt been shown before the direct launched. I was super worried about the museum not being there but there they go with that beautiful a** building

there are quite a few things that weren't shown in the game that i think will be safe to say are still in. after all nintendo wanted to mostly show off the biggest newest and shiniest things prominently in directs and advertisements. gyroids are probably safe.

They will still be in the game. I don't collect them, but would be sad if they weren't here. I don't see them going anywhere though.

We didn't see any in the Direct, but there was a render of a Gyroid on the New Horizons official website!

Yeah I only like the timpanoids.

Otherwise they're a pain to dig up every time it rains.

I think they have something to do with the dead in Japanese lore?

I would love their own section or really just a way to store them with Brewster again.

You’re right, they’re based on Haniwa which were clay figures buried with the dead. Makes it a bit spooky that you can dig them up!

A museum for gyroids would be cool, it’d have to be huge to fit all of them though.
They are too iconic to be scrapped and idk, they kind of make me think of weird pets so I love them

I use them all the time inside my houses. I hope they come back and I hope we can place them outside as well!

Ugh I really hope they come back!!! I loved putting one or two in my house just to make it less quiet. I love the gyroids so much. They are so cute and strange. I would be so sad if they did not return, because that'd mean I couldn't put one outside of my house like on the GameCube like I totally would love to do!!!
