Halloween event is coming soon and I've been stocking up on candy. I read that some villagers need to be scared by wearing a mask, but does it matter which mask I take? Should I buy more than 1 or does a werewolf mask scare just as much as a skeleton mask?

From what I gather you will get clues as to which mask scares a certain villager. I think there are four masks. I'm confused about a few things also. Sure wish candy could be stacked like fruit. Taking up a lot of storage space.

Do you really need that much candy?

I might as well buy all 6 masks, it's only 6000 bells anyway. That's 6x collecting shells on the beach.

I just want to mention this. Villagers walking outside will all ping you and play tricks on you if you lose the game with them. They can zap any candy you're holding AND zap your shoes,hat, and shirt. They change it into moldy/ragged clothes. SO DON'T WEAR CLOTHES YOU CARE ABOUT!

I'll just wear a pattern. Or will they delete the pattern?

I'll also drop my candy outside so I won't have to go inside.

Wearing patterns does seem to work. But they will zap your headgear or shoes still. If you have no headgear on,they'll give you a pumpkin mask the same color as they're wearing.
