happy home paradise question

i started a new game a few days ago, and while im waiting for the first three villagers to move in *the last one moves in tomorrow* i downloaded the happy homes paradise dlc. i then closed my game, and went back into it...and i received the happy home paradise photo in the mail, but happy home paradise isnt open for me to play yet. no word about it at all except for the photo that i got. i read online that you have to wait until november 5 for this to actually be playable??? is that right? or do i need to do something to trigger it to open for me? im thinking i might be too early in the game for it to be available, but that shouldnt matter....help please!

November 5th was when the DLC was available for purchase and download. I’m not sure if you need to meet certain unlock requirements before you can go, but that kinda sounds like it since you said you just started a new game.

From a quick google search i found:

The option to go to work becomes available at least one day after all the following conditions have been met: The Resident Services building has been completed (upgraded from a tent) You have attended Tom Nook's DIY workshop. Your resident has a house (upgraded from a tent)

So it looks like there are some things that need to be done first.

thank you!!! i was wondering if the residential center had to be completed! its under its tent today! i figured it was possibly isabelle that was missing in order to start the mission.
