Could anyone tell me if this is worth the money please? $25 seems like an awful lot of money to spend!

In my opinion it's definitely worth it, But it really depends on what you personally like. If you don't really care that much for designing, then you probably wouldn't like it very much. But the DLC does have a lot of features locked behind it like soundscapes and the ability to eventually redo your home islanders houses.

It kinda reminds me of pocket camp tbh. But thankfully you don't have to wait a day, and a half to get a bouncy castle or table. You already have a massive selection of decore-I got over whelmed, but thats just me.

Its a fun little add on, it also offers perks for your current island, as well as different items. So that's fun. I don't know tons about the perks, but Ive heard they're fun.

But Id say if your looking for a little extra fun on the game, then its defently worth it.

Only if you are someone who is into designing homes and if you really want to get your hands on the newer items.

I suppose it depends on what you really enjoy doing in ACNH! I personally think it's definitely worth it! 😊

The below could be a little bit spoiler-y if you like the surprise, as it mentions things you can unlock, but maybe it will help you decide if the expansion is worth the money for you! 😊🌟

Some things you can only unlock with Happy Home Paradise (to the best of my knowledge):
  • Design vacation homes (including two-storey homes), for as many villagers as you'd like, including villagers you have on your island.
  • Design non-home buildings, such as (in spoiler): A school, hospital and café.
  • Have easier access to buying items, with a shop at Happy Home Paradise that uses a non-bell currency.
    • Once the items are unlocked, it also includes being able to order items any time from a HHP catalogue.
  • Work through goals, like designing x amount of homes, design a particular facility, etc.
  • Unlock new DIYs for making pillars and counters.
  • Unlock partition walls.
  • Unlock the ability to redecorate the homes of villagers on your own home island!
  • Unlock the ability to use soundscapes, different coloured lighting, and polish items for effects.

This sounds amazing, definitely sounds worth the money, thank you.

Thank you all for your replies.

As others have said, it depends! There are some exclusive items (pillars, counters, walls) and features. For me, the thing that makes it worth the money is being able to design your villagers' homes! All features that should've been included in the main game though, in my opinion...

Yeah that's what I like, the idea of being able to design my villagers homes. Yeah I agree it should have.
