Long time no see, Bell Tree! ☆
Due to life circumstances, I have been unable to play Animal Crossing for a few years now... feels like only yesterday I was running around playing island games on New Leaf with my friends and strangers alike! I am ecstatic to be back on this website, for I have missed it so! Hope to meet all of you that are up and active on this forum. Please take care of me and show me the ropes for New Horizons, thank you! (I am actually new to the Switch console entirely...)

Ah, a little about myself: I am blood type A! Year of the tiger, Taurus sun sign. I am a trainee at a tea shop, and cannot resist fresh baked goods. I strive to learn much about the world - I believe meeting people is the best way to do that! Animal Crossing truly embodies that sense of community, which is why I love it so much! welcome back to the forums! i’ve been trying to figure out why your user looks familiar, and i think we traded back in 2015! so it’s lovely to see you again.

i was actually new to using the switch console as well when i got new horizons (i only got it for new horizons lol), and it definitely took a bit of getting used to since i was used to consoles with touch-screen and/or that let me use a stylus, but i got the hang of it eventually and i’m sure you will, too! if you have any questions about the game or console, feel free to ask and i’ll gladly help if i can! if i can’t, i’m sure others around here would be able and happy to!

Thank you for the welcome! We certainly did trade back in good ole '15. That is absolutely fantastic that you are still active on here. I hope this time around - we can be great friends! 𝅘𝅥𝅮 It is relieving to know I'm not the only one with phantom stylus syndrome. Seeing you here makes me more assured that there is a lot of fun in store, after all you've kept at it for years (even if on and off)! The best baked good is the one baked with love, a favorite to receive. However if I am simply buying one... a standard go-to is anpan or baby castella. Are you a fellow sweets fan?

Nah, I didn't start recently. Technically I've had NH since launch and my first island was called "UA Academy" and based after U.A. High in the anime My Hero Academia. I ended up finishing it, had all my dreamies, and it was a five star island too, but I grew bored and unhappy with it, so I just recently reset for the first time in an AC game and made my new island called "Lurolona" after Lurolona Village from the anime The Rising Of The Shield Hero.

If you ever want to play together though, I'd be down for that!

Aaaa, you are so new to it! There are so many exciting things awaiting you! I can't wait to see how you like it!

I have had New Horizons since soon after release day, but a few months ago I found that I liked my island the way it is, and I like my villagers, so there's not a lot left for me to do (some small things for sure). I didn't want to get rid of my island, so I semi-recently started a second island! I'm usually most active on the weekends because of time zones though.

I really hope you enjoy it here (again)!

It is a little saddening that I missed out on the events as they were happening and the massive hype... but players like you who keep at it inspire me to work hard on my island and keep the joy going 'round! i actually left the forums in 2016 and was inactive for a few years, but i came back in time for new horizons and it’s def one of the best things i’ve ever done! i would’ve gone even more insane during the pandemic without this community tbh haha. i hope we can be friends this time around as well! you seem lovely! ♡

oooh i’ve never tried either of those before, but they both look and sound delicious! i’m especially intrigued about baby castellas. i’ll have to give them a try if i get the chance someday! and i’m def a sweets lover! donuts, cake, chocolate, you name it... i can get down with any dessert for the most part!

Yep, one island per console! I originally started out with a Switch Lite and started my island on that! After I while I bought a regular Switch, but I kept my island on my Lite, so fortunately I was able to start my second island on my regular Switch without having to delete my original island! I'm glad I made the choice not to transfer my island over!

I found the first week of New Horizons a little hard to get into, especially as I struggled to find resources (mainly iron nuggets), and I wanted to progress faster, so I hope you're not finding this!

It's a shame you missed the initial hype, but I love that the events still run on your island each year! I don't think you will have missed much in that respect. I'm actually looking forward to Christmas so I can decorate my new island, and give gifts to all my villagers! I think you still will have so much to experience!

Yep! It's pretty fun to watch.

I will take a look at your watchlist for sure! I use MAL, but I should honestly switch to Anilist because MAL is becoming... kind of outdated. I will let you know if I've seen any good ones that you may have not watched yet.

My island will match one specific location of the show, which is Lurolona Village. I can't really describe it too well without throwing spoilers all over the place, but it's a nice fantasy-themed place. So that's what I'll be going for.

Ahh, I did not see this until now. So busy these days...!! Despite it being a month late, I must reply!
In fact, I have not progressed in the game since September! Aside from New Horizons, I enjoy "OMORI" ... that's the only other one I have on the switch!
I am open to suggestions if you have any. Very, very much a newbie to the console. Would love to hear about your enjoyment of the Switch!

Sure thing! ^^ I haven't played a huge amount of Switch games, but I'll be happy to help if I can! What types of games do you like? Some of my favorite games on the Switch are Dragon Quest XI S, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the Code: Realize series, and Undertale.
