Harriet & Harvey

I think this has already been a topic of discussion here on this thread but oh well.

I don't think Harriet or Harvey will have a comeback in New Horizons.

The only reason I put them together was because yesterday I was at the campsite and Harvey told me he had a crush on Harriet, lmao.

We're supposed to be able to change our hair and eyes at any time, right? So why would we need Harriet? If we are supposed to change our look at Shampoodle, how is it going to be there on the island? Why would an abandoned island have a random hair salon on it?

As for Harvey, I'm pretty sure Amiibo won't be used with campsites. I'd be great if it was, but I also want to see something different from Amiibo. Which means that Harvey will be out of luck.

What do you think is going to happen to them?

This would break my heart I’m an amiibo collector for one but also love the characters themselves but I can see why you would be thinking they won’t make the cut. I certainly don’t think that it is impossible but a bit unlikely maybe? As for Harvey, I would really hope that amiibos will be incorporated into a campsite again, I think a lot of people (not just me ) would be disappointed to see that feature being removed. Very interested to hear what others who have perhaps done a lot more research into the game than I have have to say. I ship Harvey and Harriet. That would just be sooo cute. Lol

I cloud imagine that Harriet is still in the game for offering new hair styles and hair/eye colors that aren't
available right from the beginning in the game. Like that you have only a standard selection for hair and
eyes but if you want more styles and colors then Harriet helps you out there.

As for Harvey, well they could bring back the campground in a different version perhaps? Or he gets
a new job in NH, after all, it seems certain NPCs having now other jobs than they had in the previous
titles.

I'm not entirely sure if they will be back, but I bet Harriet will still be there. She could probably help give you recipes for crafting wigs, like the hairbow wig from New Leaf. She might be able to help unlock multicolored hair, such as brown with blonde streaks. I think that would be a cool idea. ^o^

As for Harvey, I personally don't think he will be back in the game, as I don't think there would be any room on the island for his campsite and I'm sure the Amiibo will be used for something different in this game. If he is in there, then I ship both him and Harriet too.

I'm really hoping we'll be able to unlock Shampoodle as the game progresses, I feel like Harriet is a very important part of the series! Maybe her shop will have some other purpose, like we'll be able to purchase wigs from her or hair accessories. I stopped playing NL before Harvey was introduced so I don't care much for him, but I think his design is pretty neat. Don't think he'll be back, though.

Unless smaller islands around your own that you can visit are gonna be a thing and they locating Harvey
and his campground on one of said islands. After all you're right with the fact that our own island might
be not big enough for his campground, at least we don't know how big the island will be but probably
not that gigantic for everything.

Also I agree, he and Harriet are a cute couple.

I agree with what was already said. That Harriet might offer different contacts and styles not available in character creation.

Im a amiibo collector myself, I try to look for ones that I don't have and with a cheaper price, the past weekend I did gotten myself a Lottie amiibo that was on sale, then I found the Splatoon amiibos (boy and girl verisons) but they were like close to 20 bucks, and I already spent a lot of money on plushies at my local anime store.

I hope my amiibo cards will help us to bring them back in the game maybe as a neighbour only if we cannot have their shop, I really like all the NPCs from animal crossing.

i think a lot of beloved npcs will have a new/slightly different role but will still come back. dont quote me on this but wasnt it confirmed that resetti has retired from screaming at people but is still going to appear in the next game in some form?

plus, isabelle will be returning even though this time around we won't have a secretary so i could definitely see harriet and harvey coming back but they might work in new shops and do new things

There are so many ways they could easily bring these two characters back. I wouldn't write them off so quickly.

I got all the amiibos including the cards. The developers have said that amiibos will work with the game, but they haven't said how. So I fully expect Harriet to be back because she has her own card, and it would be weird to make some amiibos or cards work and not others. I don't know about Harvey though, since he was a late addition character and so far doesn't appear outside of New Leaf. Maayybe if he had his own amiibo or he got one some time in the future, he'd be back? idk.
But I don't think you have worry about Harriet.

If you can already change your eye color, hair color and hairstyle without Harriet like you could in Happy Home, then there really isn't a need to keep Harriet in which case I can see her character not making a reappearance in Horizons. I think I'd feel a bit sad if she left since I've seen her since Wild World, but on the other hand I'd also like the convenience of changing my character's look without taking a quiz each time.

Maybe she can move on to doing something else like changing villagers' hair color.....?

How would Harvey get there?
Unless he gets on a ferry with his RV.

I don't know about Harriet, but my IRL best friend says that there's no way Harvey is ever making a return in any Animal Crossing game since his role was literally just managing the update area in Welcome amiibo! for New Leaf.
