I loved CF, I never had original AC am asking for Xmas but will see is hard to find in good condition fair price online. I found WW so that may be as far back as I get to see if ever play.

Recently I miss my old CF wii town...really mad they took away wifi because I still have the out loud mic chat for visitors and it was so much better than type the voice came right through the tv on both ends...Anyway anyone gone back to the game other version recently and either restarted or, I don't know how outing villagers worked there no one ever left or asked and I played daily for years. I forgot what date I was on but don't know if resetting to make sure still had my Wolfgang would mess up the console as never tried but can look it up on old calander and see where I left off I am always a few months behind current time as don't skip days so it was like Aug something 2012 right end of the month right after a tourney or bug off...or event of some kind the Saturday before. If you can find that answer will give you a reward, no joke lol.

Anyway though, anyone go back and start playing it again or even pick up WW like me. Haven't started that. I wish NL had the mic feature and Nintendo didn't undo the wifi visits bc what's the harm my wii is old school it may still do it, don't know haven't had anyone with a similar wii to try with.

But anyone go back recently, yes NL is enhanced but I found the villagers more in depth there..and at night I don't know may be something to go back to.

Yeah, but everytime I try to play acww on my 3DS, it keeps saying a game card isn't inserted :( I really want to see my town

I have not played the older games, but after hearing about differences between the newest AC games and older ones, I am interested in buying older ones. To start, I will buy the one for DS.

I've actually been playing the gamecube version a lot lately. . 3.
I just really love a lot of the features and such in it~

City Folk was my first AC game and it holds a very special place in my heart. I'd just bought my bought my Wii, turned 20 and had gotten this big promotion at work that actually resulted in more time for me to play the game! And it was the first game I recommended to someone and they actually played it - it was a family that I babysat for. I had to babysit their three kids every Saturday and this was the only game that they wouldn't fight over. And for me personally, this game served as a wonderful stress reliever (and still does). The music even calms me :D

Although I liked some of the stuff in past games more than I did in New Leaf, I'm not really going back. But I missed the Acorn Festival and the shopping points system.

CF, was fun. I had so many great friends who I lost contact with.

After New Leaf, I have a hard time getting into an AC game where I'm not the mayor. I think just being a resident isn't as fun overall. I hope you have a position of authority in future titles! But I'll always have fun going back to the original AC. :) Seeing differences is always fun. I think in the original you could drop multiple items at once...I wish that was in New Leaf...

I bought WW again for the nostalgia.
I swear that game got me through a LOT growing up.
Even though I'm not mayor (going back is kinda -eh- overall), it still has its charm, and I owe it a lot.
I go back to it sometimes for the hell of it.

I wanted to go back to Wild World a while ago, played for 15 mins when I got back to New Leaf, I think New Leaf is more fun...

played WW and CF, but I must say I highly prefer NL
seen a lot of people praising the game cube version, but unfortunately never played it (lack of a system, if not I would be tempted to try it)

When I started playing new leaf it reminded me of how I loved the original on gamecube. I've never gotten to play WW or CF, so yhe nostalgia was intense lol. I definitely went back and played a rom for the original.

I went back and played the Gamecube version a lot compared to Wild World and City Folk.

Although I never grew up with it as a kid, it makes me wish that I did.
