So, my boyfriend was awesome enough to turn what he was able to do to The Bell Tree with Glimmer Blocker in this thread into a Safari Extension. All you need to do is download and install the extension, and you'll have an awesome new theme for The Bell Tree in Safari! You'll need Safari 5 for extensions to work, though. And, yes, this works on Windows, too!

Download the extension here:

New TBT Theme Extension Version 2.2
Note: In order to use extensions, you'll have to activate them in Safari 5 first. To do that, do the following:
1. In "Preferences", in the "Advanced" tab, enable "Show Develop menu in menu bar"
2. Open the "Develop" menu and select "Enable Extensions"

All credit goes to my boyfriend, Andrew (Shadow Jolteon) for making this extension, and SL92 of The Nintendo Realm for making the original theme. All I did was edit the banner, lol.

Keep in mind that this isn't the final version of the extension. Andrew will be fixing any errors with it, as well as making it better over time, and possibly even adding customizable features to it.

I've just updated the extension. I put all images needed by the theme within the extension, so it cuts down the amount of stuff that's needed to load, and if the images were ever to be deleted, the theme will still work.

I'm planning on redoing the CSS to work even better sometime, too. =3 (Something I was going to do in Glimmer Blocker... XD )

Nice but I wish you guys would make it for browsers like FF. I'm not installing a crap browser that runs horrible on a Windows computer.

This, It looks nice but I hate Safari.

All you did is edit the banner? You are basically stealing this. I see that you put a little right into it but at least put a name on the lower right corner and say the right goes to whoever made it. Also it sounds that when you say all right goes to Andrew that sounds that he gets all the credit then the OM who made it. More right should go to the maker then your boyfriend, Andrew.

If the theme were actually on TBT, then the creator would have already been needed to be asked and a note of who made it would be thrown in somewhere. It isn't on TBT, and is instead being used by whoever installs the extension, so there's really no need for either of those. I have planned to put credit to the creator in the extension description, but that's it. Credit was given in the first post, to the creator for the original theme, to me for making the extension/modifying the CSS, and making a script to fix up the arrangement of everything to work with the theme better, and to Tye for making the banner.

Nobody ever said that I created the theme and that ALL credit for the theme goes to me, just that credit for this does. Tye credited to the creator in the first post for the creation of the original theme. The credit doesn't really matter anyways, since, again, it's not on the forum. I don't care who gets credit, I'm just doing this so people can see a different theme on TBT for themselves.

When I try to click Spoilers it doesn't work for some reason... Useful having this as a Safari Extension though!

Yeah, I've noticed that some Javscript-dependant stuff doesn't work like it should with the extension enabled, as well... I'll see what I can do about that for the next version. =)

First of all, Safari is not a "crap" browser. It's arguably the best browser. And I'm not even sure if it would be possible to do in Firefox.

It may not be on a Apple computer but on Windows it is.

I'm using it on Vista and its good, not as good as Google Chrome but I do like it. Its only slightly slower than Chrome which may be faster/ as fast as Firefox.

:eek:fftopic: Vista is a horrible OS. You need to downgrade to XP or upgrade to Seven. My choice is XP.

Anyways Safari is not the best browser to be running on a Windows computer. I went to my Task Manger and I was seeing Safari was doing a lot of work but it was running slow so I uninstalled. But I did write a big wall of text in the Safari 5 thread if you want to see that.

Meh your choice.

As for Vista being a horrible OS, why?

I've never had any problems with it and it runs very smooth. I don't mind the security Allow or Cancel thing or anything else with it. Why does everyone say its terrible?

Actually something I have been wondering as well. I'm using Vista on my laptop and I have yet to encounter a problem with it. Though, I prefer Seven which is on my desktop just for some of the newer features.

How do I turn on Safari Extensions? Can;t find where they are.
Go to preferences

Hit advanced

Check "show develop in menu bar

Make sure your menu bar is on

Hit "Develop" on the menu bar

Look for "Enable Extensions" and click it

then download the extension and it should work

Also, for anyone wanting a Firefox add-on, Andrew said that it's probably possible, but it'd be too complex to bother with. Safari Extensions are much easier to make than Firefox add-ons. Solution? Use Safari. =p
