Hello!

My name is Xavier, I'm a lurker turned member. I've been playing New Horizons since launch (still not tired of it!), and recently picked up New Leaf and Wild World though I'm not sure when I'll get around to playing them in addition to New Horizons with my work schedule.

Whilst the update and DLC are going to be nice, it's really just the cherry on top of a game I'm still enjoying. I reset my island recently, not for the update (I reset a few days before the announcement) but because I really wanted to develop a new island from scratch. It was an impulse decision that I may/may not be regretting now, but we live and learn!

For the interested my current favourite villager is Cole, he auto-filled one of the vacant starter plots and I just fell in love! However my all time favourite villager is Chow, who is hands down one of the best villagers in my biased opinion, and I cannot wait to find him again for my new island.

I'm looking forward to lurking more and maybe actually participating in a few threads with you all

I’m always impressed by people willing to reset their island, because I don’t think I could start again!

I love the way you found your favourite villager, because I had a similar experience! Agnes was one of the two starting villagers when I first arrived on my island (I don’t think I’d ever met her before), and I didn’t think much at first, but after interacting with her, she grew on me so quickly! ❤ I love bear villagers in general too, but I also love how many are cranky.

Is there anything in particular you’re looking forward to in the update or DLC?

Hello Xavier, welcome! Glad to hear you're enjoying the game! I've been thinking about resetting my island itself as I really do enjoy the fresh feeling you get from restarting, along with other things. I hope you enjoy your stay here!

i’m so glad that you’ve decided to join us! it’s been so nice seeing so many new and returning members lately in anticipation of the update, and we’re very happy to have you! i hope you’ll enjoy your time here.

it’s super cool that you’ve picked up new leaf and wild world! i played both of those games myself years ago (wild world was actually my introduction to the series!), and they’re both fantastic imo! i hope you’ll have fun with them once you’re able to start playing.

it’s nice to see some love for cole and chow as well! i don’t see them get talked about very much, so seeing your love for them makes me happy. i’m personally not the biggest fan of chow, but cole’s absolutely adorable!
