Hi! I'm Kelly, a 22 year old fashion designer and huge Animal Crossing fan from New York City! I've been in love with Animal Crossing since my first time playing Population Growing on Gamecube.
I love to design my own Animal Crossing patterns and I've been doing this thing where I recreate iconic high fashion looks as Animal Crossing patterns. I've made a few already and posted them on my tumblr and this blog I just made with some friends - hopefully some of you guys will enjoy them!
Unfortunately I don't have any friends that really love Animal Crossing [most of my friends don't play video games at all and think I'm really weird] so I figured joining a forum would be a great way to meet new friends to play Animal Crossing with!
Are any of you going to the New Leaf event at Nintendo World on June 8th? I'll be there for sure!

How early are you planning to get to the event? I went to the Luigi's Mansion event and got there over an hour early and the line was already huge! I heard that there were people camping out the night before at that one, so I'm scared to think of when people will start lining up for the New Leaf event!

I'm so excited to be able to go to the event in NY, but I'm hoping I won't have to camp out overnight just to get a good spot in line! I think Friday during the day I'll take the subway up to Nintendo World and I'll let any New Yorkers on the forum know how the line is looking.
Hi Kelly! If I blast a color rocket over Midtown, you might see it! I did some work for 3.1 Phillip & Derek Lam a few years back; keep at it- there's tons of opportunities & a wealth of design houses here for any fashion enthusiast!
Hi Ben! Wow 3.1 Phillip Lim and Derek Lam! That's awesome! I've been freelancing on and off for J.Crew for a while, but I'm taking a break now to work on a collection for this thing called Style Week Northeast. It's kindof like a super mini New York Fashion Week but in Providence, Rhode Island. I'm hoping it will give me a leg up and look good on my resume so I can finally get a real assistant designer job, but we'll see what happens. My show is August 28th and I have to have a 10 look collection by then. I don't know how I'm going to get all of my work done once New Leaf comes out!
Also I just realized it's supposed to rain in the city Friday and Saturday I wonder if that will be a good thing though, maybe less people will be willing to wait in line?
I added your FC, Kelly! I know AC's like a yummy donut calling your name, but the 28th is on the horizon- focus, focus, review, & run your lineup in your head over & over. Show's are less about the experience & more a display of your vision & the press it creates. Be confident, trust your designs; don't worry about your flowers, I can water them for you on the 28th. =)
