Hello, I'm new here! ^o^
Found The Bell Tree from browsing online when I was trying to find out what were the most popular animal crossing villagers for new leaf. xD
Hoping to make some new friends, and learn things as I go since ACNL is the first AC game I've played. Been playing for almost a year, if not a year. But I can't help but still feel a little nooby in certain aspects of the game. xD
If anyone would like to give me tips or pointers too, all advice is welcome. ^^ Thank you!

Thank you very much! ^u^
Don't mind if I do then XD I was looking around the forums trying to find a FAQ that covers all the abbreviations that members here were using ;A; Sadly, couldn't find anything of the sort.
I'm assuming TBT stands for The Bell Tree? And it seems like this site has it's own currency? To be honest I'm still stumped on what it's used for.
Then on certain members, I see they have "items" underneath their avatar, what are those?
Also I don't suppose you could direct me to any threads or guides that teach you how to trade/exchange villagers with other players? I've never visited another town or had a visitor in my town before so anything to do with interaction with others is very new to me.

Sorry for all the questions! I hope I don't overwhelm you.

I can answer those!

1:TBT or BTB stands for the currency used on this website. People use it to buy collectibles off people or from the shop, collectibles are the items they have under their avatar.
2: To transfer TBT/BTB to someone, under their posts, click their amount of bells and transfer, under amount, type the amount you would like to send and hit submit.
3:Exchanging and trading villagers all happens in the Villager Trading Plaza as you might know. There you can buy sell and trade villagers, and there are cyclers who usually have a second copy of New Leaf to get people their dreamies. When a villager is in boxes and you sell or give the villager away to someone, they come to your town and talk to the villager, they then have the choice to ask the villager to live in their town.
Hope I helped!

Thanks so much for your help!! The links have been very helpful and all the tips you gave me too have been great. I just have a few more questions if you don't mind xD

Those items that are collectibles, do they directly do anything for your avatar? (Can you equip them?) Or are they just neat little images that show under the avatar?
Are there any other popular abbreviations that members here use a lot that I should know about? ^u^

Also checked out the Villager Trading Plaza! It's awesome there, can't wait to start trading villagers etc with others.
Thanks very much again!!

The collectibles are just decoration or things to collect really. Some are rarer than others, but none actually do anything for your avatar, unless you buy the upgrades from the shop (e.g. avatar width extension or gif avatar).

TBT is a popular abbreviation for the forum itself, but it's also used to refer to the forum currency. BTB is used for the same thing, standing for 'bell tree bells'.

Gotcha! Thanks so much for the help and pointers *V* Really appreciated.

orz Also, I have another question ;A;

I see people offering multi-million bells for certain Villagers in the Villager Trading Plaza, how does one transfer so many bells at the same time? (Or rather, in one go?)

Thanks so much! ^_^ I really hope so, I don't know anyone who plays AC where I live, so I'd love to make some new friends.

There are very little people who play it too, especially my age. I'm considered a little childish for playing acnl at my age ! (16)
There's no age limit for playing AC, its a really good game for everyone - I've met really nice people from all over the world thanks to TBT ^^

Oh gosh now I feel old ;A; LOL
I'm 25 and I love animal crossing, the concept is just so darn adorable! Plus I've always liked customizable things, so this seems like the ultimate must-play. XD I even wish I had known of the AC franchise sooner!

That's really great to hear, everyone has been extremely kind and helpful since I signed up for my account. *V*
I even just started learning how to use QR codes and such! Haha.

I've played every AC game and it's part of my childhood, and teenagehood, (if i can call it that.)

I love AC because it's something that you can't get bored of, because its an ongoing story. I was new to the whole QR code thing!

For you bell question, they just use the ABD at the post office and drop bells all over the town!

But anyway, welcome to the forums! :D

Also, to buy those collectibles :D You can go here
The Shop
I'd buy the Golden Ticket if you have enough. You get entered to win the rare Pokeball collectible! :D

Your welcome!
And I don't think there are more abbreviations.

Collectibles are just there to look nice I guess.

Definitely agree with that! That's probably one of the best things about AC, is that there's always going to be something to do.
I was looking up a bunch of QR Codes for my mayor character and now I've completely run out of room for more designs! xD

Ooooh, so they basically just keep grabbing bells and put them on the ground? That seems like it would still take a loooong time since I've seen some original villagers can go even over 20 million in bells!! OTL

Thanks for the shop link by the way! I purchased my first collectible today :'D haha
A little bummed out that some of the collectibles are sold out though. ;A; Do we get a bunch of new ones every month or something? o:

Your welcome!

Thanks! I suppose if I run into any other abbreviations the best thing to do is to just ask. xD
