Hi guys, first time player of the series. I actually bought new leaf on 3ds for my kids but they never played it. Then i bought new horizons for my daughter and we started our island together just swapping between male and female avatars when we take our own turns. Lol we have a lot of clothes for both male and female. This game grew on us surprisingly fast! Its been a learning experience since day one but looking at the popular villagers out there i think we got pretty lucky with our rolls. Starting villagers were Hamlet and Mira. Both have been absolutely enjoyable! When we first expanded and had to create 3 new homes, we had Boomer, Audie and Annalisa move in. Eventually we built up the remaining plots. First visitor to camp was Eugene. We asked him to move in because he was very slick attitude. He complements our island nicely. On mystery island i managed to find Beau, ketchup and Marina. Only the final plot we had no control over who moved in. We got Monique. Now out of all of our villagers, Annalisa was the surprise being ranked so low in popularity. My daughter loves her, she is very motherly! The only two we might consider letting go is Monique and Boomer. Boomer is very quiet, doesn't do much. Monique, her make up and mannerisms just do not fit with us lol. We started with orange trees but a few trips to mystery islands brought is in many new trees. We now have an over abundance of cherries, coconuts and bamboo as well. We saved absolutely every crafting material for a long time. I think we had 5 rows of iron stacks alone at one point until iron garden bench was the hot item and we needed cash for construction and house upgrades. Made a lot of money without doing the turnips. Now with a 3 bedroom house and upper level, we are looking to do our final upgrade and have altered our island into breeding hybrid flowers. Today we emptied the bank account on turnips. Its time we try the stalk market! We still are on the hunt for fruit we do not own yet (apple, peach, pear) but we still do not know the general procedure of visiting others islands. We know how to, just don't know the proper etiquettes which have been adapted with the online community, so we may be interested in visiting, trading, or purchasing from others in the near future. Any advice outside what we have mentioned would be great, especially about flowers! Thanks
