I started playing Animal Crossing in 2013, shortly after New Leaf came out. I was only 9 at the time but I've loved Animal Crossing ever since.

I bought New Horizons on release day, but I haven't played it in months due to becoming very uncomfortable with my birth name, which is my name on my island. I'm really averse to resetting AC games but it doesn't seem like an option to change your name is coming anytime soon, so I guess I'm resetting my island. Figured I'd finally join this forum when I do that

It's definitely a shame you're not able to change your name! Did you reset already? If you need anything to get your island going again, please let me know and I'll help if I can!

Aww Renee! I know a lot of people don't like her, but she was in my New Leaf town for a while and I quite liked her design as well. ^^

your reason for not playing new horizons in a while is so valid, and it really is a shame that changing our character/island name isn’t possible; hopefully it will be in the next instalment. i’m sorry that you had to reset, but i wish you luck with your new island! i’m sure it’s going to turn out lovely.
