Hi! I used to be a member of Animal Crossing Community, but decided to come here. From what I've seen so far, this community seems much more friendlier. I hope I will enjoy my stay! :)
I've been a fan of Animal Crossing for almost 10 years now. Wild World was my favorite out of the series and I played probably over 1000 hours of it with lots of online sessions too. The gamecube version was awesome too (lots of nostalgia!), but for some reason City Folk was a let down for me. I don't really understand why, lol. Anyway, I hope Animal Crossing Jump out will be the best out of them!

I'm also looking for people to play とびだせどうぶつの森 with, since I pre-ordered it for the November 8th release. I'm learning Japanese now, but at this point I only know how to read all hiragana/katakana, some kanji, and a few words/sentences. So, maybe we can help each other out when we both get the game?
For now, lets add each other on our 3DS's. :D

ようこそ!はじめまして!
I'm happy to see someone else interested in the Japanese language. I self-taught myself for a few years but because I've had no one to practice with I've become rather rusty with the language. Here is a wonderful site to help you with practicing reading kanji/hiragana/katakana: readthekanji.com

Anyway, welcome to the Bell Tree, please feel free to ask if you have any questions!

どうぞよろしく!おげんきですか?

I can practice with you sometime. I`m very new to language as you can see, but I am working hard to get better. How many years have you studied Japanese?
Thanks for the link. Right now, I'm using the books "remember the kanji" by"James Heisig" and "Genki 1: An integrated course in elementary Japanese". Plus I follow the program "AJATT (All Japanese All The Time)".

Are you getting とびだせどうぶつの森?

どうぞよろしく!おげんきですか?

Douzo yoroshiku! O genki desu ka?

It seems like I can still read some basic kanji :)

わたしはげんこです。おげんきですか?どうぞよろしく!
I had studied Japanese from around 8th-12th grade and on and off again ever since so I don't know for sure how long I had studied.
I am not getting とびだせどうぶつの森 but I will when it comes out in NA.

Welcome to The Bell Tree! It's always a pleasure to see new members everyday. :3

そうですか!いいえ..僕は少し疲れた。
oooh so you haven't really commited to it?
I'm making it my lifestyle. I'm following the AJATT way of living.
I don't know if you want to be fluent in Japanese someday, but AJATT might help.
Check it out if you want: http://www.alljapaneseallthetime.com/blog/

Awwwww well I guess I'll have to wait to visit your town, until then. I need to find some people that are getting the Jap version for now.

I used to be really committed to it and even lived the "Japanese lifestyle" but after I started going to college in 2010 it was just too hectic to continue to study schoolwork and study Japanese. I'll still occasionally try to teach myself. I have piles of books on it lol I'd love to be fluent someday but I'm not sure when I will be

True, college takes over everything! What courses are you taking?
I'm not going to college for another 2 years (I'm saving up to go to Japan for a year, then living there for a year while going to a language/culture school). When I do go, I hope I can get into a Japanese college/university. I'm sure you'll eventually become fluent someday, it will just take a while.

Also, maybe we should take this conversation to our profile messages or private messages.
