Path Help finding single-tile paths?

I'm searching for paths that can be used as if they were stepping stones? Preferably with minimal grass because my paths cross over permanent dirt patches a lot..

I have them laid out as mostly 1 tile wide with spaces between them, and sometimes in a 2-wide checkerboard pattern.
(Kindra/Rae's town North is a good example of what I mean by the pattern layout (sans clovers):
