yo, so i've started my new product design project and i have to redesign or make a product in the style of a decade and ive chosen 50's american diner kind of thing

and i have no idea what to make

my teacher wants me to make some sort of kitchen item though it cant be electric and his best idea was a chopping board that holds the knifes so...

i kind of hate that idea and im behind everyone else now and aa i dont know what to do

any ideas??

i'd make a plate/cutlery drainer for over the sink when u washed up ya plates
cause they cute

oh boy! that sounds like quite the task! i am sure you will ace it <3
here are a few of my (on the spot) silly suggestions:
a whiteboard/chalkboard that doubles as a napkin holder
a dog shaped hot dog/condiments holder?
an straw dispenser that is also a flower pot

My grandma used to crochet dolls with fluffy dresses with a tie at the bottom so you could stuff them with napkins. If you made one of those with like a poodle skirt I think that would be good for a 50s kitchen item.
