help ! removing villager plot after a move-out !?

hi !

so elise just moved out of my island - she was my first campsite villager (forced to move in), so, i plotted her house far up in my island, out of the way.

yesterday she left, and today the plot of land is STILL there, open for a villager to move into.
i don't have a villager i want yet, as i am waiting for amiibo cards to come in the post.

q: how do i remove this open plot of land? i want to get rid of it, i don't want another villager currently !

I dont think you can. When one moves, you got an open plot and that is up for grabs for random villagers or one you invited.
