I feel stupid in asking ...got the reader got the cards everything is set up now what?? Do I wait for wisp? does the amiibo character go automatically to the campground? Please help Im REALLY new at this
Well, what cards do you have for a start? Do you just have the HHD cards or do you have the new RV cards? If you want to be able to use the NFC reader then you have to have Wisp's lamp which you get when you randomly encounter him in your town, has that happened yet for you? Because if not you will have to get the lamp before you can do anything. Once you encounter wisp and get the lamp, place it in your house and go through the little dialogue section and then you will be able to use it. If you have the HHD cards (series 1-4) then you will only be able to:
1. If it is a normal villager then you can invite them to move into your town, not the RV site.
2. If it is a special NPC such as Isabelle then you can get their picture or a random item as a gift from them.
If you have one of the 50 new RV cards you can invite them to your campground.
If you have the amiibo figures then you can use them to invite NPCs to the RV site, but this only works with the figures, not the cards.

In order to find Wisp, you need to look for his lamp. In order to do this, you just run around town town until dialogue comes up. People say it's easier at night to find him, but I found him in the day. You'll know he's close as the chat will come up with Wisp telling you that your close, nearly there and when you move to a certain spot, the lamp will appear. You then take the lamp and just display it in your house and then you can talk to Wisp!
Wisp will ask you to scan Amiibo using the reader when you talk to him.
