Help With my 10th Villager

I have been going over various combinations of villagers, and have made most of the choices I need. In fact, all the ones I have planned for sure, I have the amiibo card for. Right now the plan is:

Hans, Rory, Ken, Octavian, Chester, Cherry, Ankha, Rilla, Skye


I have one spot left for my island. I have narrowed it down to Nana or Muffy. Both are ones I love to bits, but need help selecting. Here are the reasons I am considering each

Nana: A nice Monkey villager, a species I feel is underrated. Would fit in well with the others, as many of my villagers are of unpopular species like Hans and Rory. Plus her color pallet would be a nice addition, as none of the others have pink as a major color on them. Only issue is I don't have her card, but MIGHT be getting it for my birthday next month.

Muffy: Tomboy villagers are my favorite type. I like Sheep villagers fine, and I think her gothic look is so nice to look at. I also have her amiibo card, making her easier to get then Nana.

I'm biased, Muffy is my starter & I love her to bits, she's hilarious. Though I get you on the colour aesthetics, early in the game I realized I kept choosing blue/purple villagers and my island is filled with pink/orange flowers so I had to balance it a bit lol.

I think whichever one you pick will be fine, you can scan in Muffy first and then Nana later once you get her card perhaps (I reserve my 10th spot for a rotating cast of villagers so I don't get bored.)

Nana is my choice. Nana needs more attention. Muffy is popular already. Monkeys are often overlooked. I would choose Nana for this reason.

both are great imo, but i voted for nana since you said you don't have any pink villagers (and admittedly i'm biased towards them lol)

I voted for Muffy. I tried having Nana on my island and she just wasn't a favorite normal. She's kind of like Norma. Sweet but unexceptional. Muffy, on the other hand, is a delight. She was my first sisterly and I really never tire of her. The tomboy-ish personality contrasts nicely with her gothic Lolita style.

both are wonderful choices, but i’ll throw my vote to nana. she’s my personal favourite of the two, and she’s absolutely adorable! plus, like you said, her design would definitely be a nice addition to your lineup! ^^
