The Bell Tree World Championship 2021 Patch
so i was supposed to do a trade with someone, and my switch was dead, because when i pressed the power button the little battery showed up. ever since that, whenever i press or hold it down, it doesn’t show the icon, and it doesn’t seem to be charging, as the battery doesn’t show up or when i put it in the charging station, the little green light just flashes once. i’m worried my switch won’t work, but i haven’t dropped it, haven’t eaten near it, etc. it’s fairly new as i got it for christmas, i don’t know why it would all of a sudden stop working. all my games are digitally bought too. is there anyway to fix this? sorry if this thread is in the wrong section

Any additional info might be useful.

What about peripherals. Have you only used Nintendo-licensed controllers, wires, etc? Charging cables...things like that? If you have bought a cheap charging cable, or even an after-market controller for the Switch...that might damage the system.

In any case...there doesn't sound like any way for you to personally fix it. You'll probably need to send the whole system to Nintendo for them to professionally check it out.

nope, my charger is a nintendo charger, controllers are, it’s all nintendo. it showed the battery icon once then wouldn’t turn on or show it at all because i know it’s dead. maybe it’s just really dead? i’m not sure

Maybe disconnect the charging cable from the dock, and plug it directly into the Switch. Have you tried that yet?

Maybe the connections on the dock are dirty...or somehow not getting full contact. Maybe the wire is actually loose where it connects to the dock. I would inspect the entire dock and see that everything is in order there.

yeah, i’ve tried doing that several times, i don’t know what could’ve happened, my switch is fairly new as well.

Well...I'm really not sure, then.

When it's in the dock, does it still function on the television itself? Is it only handheld mode that goes black? If that's the case, then I guess the battery is dead or something...
