Help!

Before starting AC:NL I put a new SD card into my 3ds so i could take pictures of the game. Now I've realized that the DLC data has been stored in the new SD card. So I'm assuming it is only safe to play AC with this SD card rather than the other one.
What would happen if I did put in the other one?
Is it possible to get all the data onto one SD card?

How much data is on the other card? Just the DLC? And I'm guessing you have the digital version? You can try asking Pelly about the DLC again, she may not realize you already have it if it's stored on a different card. If that doesn't work, you could make another character, get the DLC on that, and give it to your main, then delete the other character if you don't want an extra.

If Pelly won't give it to you because you already have it, you are probably golden. Unlock the next level of Nookling's shop to get access to your catalog and re-order it.
Expansion Criteria:

12,000 Bells spent at Nookling Junction
10 days passed since creation of town
