I'm Mimi, I joined the forums a few days ago (^_−)−☆ I've never joined a forum before and while I enjoy posting screenshots to my Twitter, I thought it'd be fun to document my island more fully with a voice.​

My NH island is from 2020. Like most people I jumped at the opportunity to terraform/ tore a lot down before I was able to think designing my own island through properly, but I began playing again in March/April 2022 with the 2.0 update and have slowly been making progress. I check in almost daily no matter how minimal; I usually only have time to check shops, chat with select villagers and check my mail/ campsite. I used to time travel for miscellaneous things like moving in a villager or moving island homes and shops but now I prefer not to. In game I enjoy designing my villager's interiors, chatting with them and gifting them items, taking photos, fishing, beetle catching in the summer and cataloging items. I also like buying clothes lol, I update my wardrobe almost constantly. It's a must for me to change my outfit daily (sometimes multiple times a day) and to snap photos around town/ of what I'm doing, for fun and to document the things I do. I've posted some of this progress on my Island Journal thread ^_^​

I remember seeing your island journal! Your villager line-up is adorable. I also love the way you decorate rooms! Sometimes I can accidentally be too minimalist with my decorations.

Since you've played AC since GC, do you have a favourite AC game?

Hi, thank you! I know right. My worst in-game and IRL habit lmao.

I like Francine a lot, I also like Apollo and Marlo. My ultimate favorite villager is probably Cashmere, the snooty sheep I find her a bit too similar to Francine in some regards so I'm still debating on whether I should invite her to my island or not, but she's still the cutest ever I also like some of the goofier lazies like Derwin, Anchovy and Pudge

My first owned game was WW so I think that would be my favorite. Nothing beats the simplicity, the music, clothing / furniture / accessories, the events and the villagers / dialogue ^_^ it's so playful very and tongue-in-cheek as you get older but it always makes me feel so free lol. I also like not having a "mayor" like character being directly tied to/ responsible for the town but instead someone you can just play. City Folk was also very fun. Taking the bus and visiting the city, hearing Animal City and seeing all the villagers walking to and fro for the first time was very precious, one of the most special moments ever

Thank you!! I've been shy about replying to threads and instead focused on my own, but everyone has been really sweet so far. Thanks for being so welcoming
