Okay, so I wanted to start a post where we can talk about HOW and WHY we give certain ratings on the Happy Home Network. ABSOLUTELY do not call out specific people! This is not a place to be hateful to others, just a way to give advice.
Ill go first...
Things that make me leave without giving a rating:
1. Too much clutter. If I cant get to the backroom or move around, for whatever reason, I wont leave a rating. (Ive been trapped in certain spaces of a house because theres too much stuff and a villager wont move...)
Things that make me leave a poor rating:
1. Theres really nothing to put here. I rarely give only one or two stars. Probably only if the house isnt functional. EX: dresser/chairs/bed cant be accessed.
Things that make me give a good rating:
1. Its functional! I love a home designed to actually be lived in. When I visit I like being able to reach all the doors and sit in the chairs and whatnot.
2. Customization. If youve done a custom piece it shows you put more care into your design.
3. Little details. A stack of books, a table plant, a musical instrument, or a toy. Something other than the basic furniture.
4. Non matching wall and floor. The effort of not just picking both the regal wall and floor.
5. Sticking to a theme, sort of. So having a general theme like... someplace calm, fun, cute. Or basing it off a activity like exercising, practicing music, art, ect. Really as long as it looks like it all goes together in a theme.
Im fairly generous with my ratings. How about you guys? Anything in particular that makes you leave a poor rating? Remember, do NOT call specific people out. Lets keep this civilized.
